Minnesota Man Who Vandalised His Own Home w/ ‘Biden 2020’ & ‘BLM’ Graffiti Pleads Guilty to Insurance Fraud After Submitting More Than $300,000 In Claims

A Minnesota man who claimed his home was vandalized with ‘BLM’ graffiti was charged with insurance fraud.

Denis Vladmirovich Molla, 30, pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud yesterday (October 11) after filing fraudulent insurance claims for staged arson and property vandalism.

Court documents outlined that on September 23, 2020, Molla lied to law enforcement saying that three unidentified males had been near his property when he heard an explosion. Molla reported that his garage door was vandalized with spray-painted graffiti that said, “Biden 2020,” “BLM,” and an Antifa symbol. He also claimed an unknown individual set his camper on fire, and that the vehicle was targeted for the Trump 2020 flag it displayed.

However, it was later revealed that Molla lit the camper himself and spray-painted his own garage with the graffiti.

Seeking to recover for his damaged vehicles and residence, Molla submitted more than $300,000 in fraudulent insurance claims. When the insurance company didn’t comply entirely and granted him $61,000, Molla’s reactions got ugly. He not only threatened to report the company to the Department of Commerce but claimed in a written complaint to the company that he was being defrauded. In the interim, Molla set up two GoFundMe accounts from which he received over $17,000.

A date for Molla’s sentencing has not yet been announced.

Meanwhile, the Twitterverse reacted to the news without missing a beat, citing it as the latest in a growing list of similar cases.
