Update: George Floyd’s Family Considering Lawsuit Against Kanye West For Claiming His Death Was Caused By An Overdose & Not Police Brutality
Update: (Oct. 17, 2022): Kanye West’s latest controversial rant might be landing him in some legal trouble soon.
According to reports, George Floyd’s family is considering taking legal action against Kanye West over false claims he made about his death. Over the weekend the family’s attorney tweeted,
“While one cannot defame the dead, the family of #GeorgeFloyd is considering suit for Kanye’s false statements about the manner of his death.
Claiming Floyd died from fentanyl not the brutality established criminally and civilly undermines & diminishes the Floyd family’s fight.”
Original Story (Oct. 16, 2022): Rap star Kanye West is back with another rant.
During his latest episode, the billionaire musician made a number of accusatory claims, including against people who’ve been critical of his recent antics. While joining N.O.R.E. on his podcast Drink Champs, Ye West, 44, called fellow rappers Meek Mill and Diddy the feds, re-sparked his beef with estranged wife Kim Kardashian and her ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson, and doubled down on claims that “Jewish media” is working to silence him. Additionally, Ye seemingly suggested that late fashion designer Virgil Abloh was killed and George Floyd was not.
In part of interview, the Donda artist addressed his recent controversial tweet about warring with Jews. If you recall, Ye received an immense amount of backlash and was forced out of Chase bank after claiming Diddy was being controlled by Jews. The rapper reiterated the same notions during his recent interview, addressing Jamie Lee Curtis and others who’ve publicly criticized his actions. He stated:
“I’m not afraid of y’all no more…I understand they got us paid off every which way….my whole point just off the tweet the fact that – what does that even mean what I said? The fact that I got taken off just proves my point. Jamie Lee Curtis went on TV and said ‘I hope they take his children away from him’….it’s no backing down at this point,”
Ye continued on, addressing comments previously made by late night talk show host Trevor Noah and calling Pete Davidson a heroin addict. He stated:
“I talked to Cube cause Cube been labeled an anti-semite. First of all, we all semite, we Jew. So I can’t be anti-semite….The 78 media outlets that called be an abuser when I was trying to get that heroin addict away from my kids…Skete, Pete Davidson….Trevor Noah, not even from America he just look Black….gonna say ‘Kim it’s gonna get dangerous’….Nori just want the family back together, I just want the family back together.”
The Yeezy owner then went on to accuse Jewish media of being responsible for the story of Kim Kardashian & Pete Davidson having sex by the fire place. Kim made headlines earlier this week after claiming she engaged in the act with Pete to honor her grandmother. Speaking on the matter, Ye stated:
“Kim is a Christian. On TMZ I just saw yesterday it said ‘Pete Davidson and Kim have sex by the fireplace to honor they grandmother’. It’s Jewish Zionist that’s about that life. That’s telling this Christian woman that has 4 black children to put that out as a message in the media….Imma let y’all know right now the Devil is a defeated foe.”
Ye went on to address Meek Mill and Diddy while claiming he no longer has any celebrity friends. The rapper accused Meek of doing a deal and being controlled by “Jews” to get released from jail. He stated:
“I don’t got no celebrity friends. Because when I was on TV on instagram saying I don’t know where my child is and the Karashian’s kidnapped by daughter in public….Travis gave me the address but as far as Meek Mills, Puff Daddy…all of you fake hard n*ggas f*ck you (x2)!…I don’t give a f*ck cause you can’t shoot nobody anyway and the reason you got talks cause you did a deal you f*cking fed!”
Continuing in his rant, the rapper claimed that a documentary made by his often controversial republican friend Candace Owens proved George Floyd wasn’t murdered. Then suggested that the late fashion designer Virgil Abloh was actually killed. He stated:
“The George Floyd documentary that Candace Owens put up, one of the things that his two roommates said was ‘they want a tall guy like me’….and the day that he died he said a prayer for eight minutes….they hit him with the fentanyl….if you look the guys knee wasn’t even on his neck like that,”
He continued:
“But something that hit me that f*cked me up….when I looked at that image of him this tall black dude with a bald head….who do you think that reminded me of?….he reminded me of Virgil….I know that we lost him, and I know that this white company Louis Vuitton is now making statues of him, like as a martyr. And we don’t know why exactly…they say its cancer.”
#Kanye speaks on #GeorgeFloyd’s passing, referencing #CandaceOwens’ Docu. Questions whether or not this interview can be aired (fyi #LebronJames’ bus partner Maverick axed his episode on The Shop), refers to himself as “lit” & also questions #Virgil’s death. ? @drinkchamps pic.twitter.com/41lXtBSo6Y

Ye went on to double down on claims that Jewish media is working against him, and says that’s the reason Lebron James show The Shop never aired his episode.
