Update: Candiace Dillard-Bassett Clarifies Her Comments Telling Former Bravo Ladies To ‘Let Go Of The Platform That Has Let Go Of You’ Was Meant For Ex ‘Married To Medicine’ Star Buffie Purselle
Update: (Oct. 27, 2022): Bravo fans told Candiace Dillard-Bassett to “put a name on it” and it seems like she’s done just that.
Earlier today (Oct. 27) Candiace left a comment under our IG post letting ‘RHOP’ viewers know her seemingly shady comment about former Bravo ladies needing to let the platform go was meant for ex ‘Married To Medicine’ star Buffie Purselle.
While replying to a fan asking who exactly she’s talking about, Candiace revealed,
“Buffie…she knows I’m talking to her since she can’t seem to keep her eyes on her own paper.”
It didn’t take long for Buffie to send shots back. In a short video clip shared online, she said,
“Candiace, I know that the fact that I’m fat and you’re fat-phobic just really grinds your gears, that I even have the audacity to breathe the air that God gives us. And I know that you are still seething becasue I sat on the ‘All About The Tea’ panel and commented on ‘Real Housewives Of Potomac.’ You seem to be the only one from your show that’s so pissy about what I said on that show. I don’t know why.”
She added,
“But like, people tell me to get over fact that there was a public autopsy done of my nonfunctioning uterus, you should get over the ‘All About the Tea’ panel. Additionally, I am not counting your paper. I am always a champion of black women making money, finally on their own. I’m proud of you for that. But I will tell you one thing, money is a topic that you shouldn’t try me on.”

Original Story: (Oct. 27, 2022): Candiace Dillard-Bassett is known for being a straight shooter and this time she is blasting former cast members of the Bravo Real Housewives franchise.
In a recent tweet, the ‘Drive Back’ singer offered this bold advice to the ladies who keep publicly rehashing their experience with the network and can’t seem to move on,
“When I leave this platform – whether I leave of my own volition or I am fired, I’m going to leave. Like actually GEAUX. Be onward and Upward.”
The 35-year-old added,
“Some of y’all need to let go of the platform that has already let go of you. Peace is a commodity I pray finds you in infinite supply.”
It was unclear which housewife was catching Candiace Dillard-Bassett’s heat. It did, however, lead to some speculation. There were some fans who believed that NeNe Leakes’ interview on Larry Reid Live might have triggered the tweet. During the recent interview, the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star discussed her lawsuit against the network and her relationship with ex co-star Kandi Burruss.
Other commenters suggested Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp and Real Housewives of New York alum Bethenny Frankel could have been the targets. The two often provide commentary on episodes from the franchise and the network. Teddi Mellencamp also hosts a podcast centered around housewives’ onscreen and offscreen drama.
Although former RHOA star Phaedra Parks’ name popped up as well, rumors have circulated that the southern belle may be making a much-anticipated return to the franchise as a Dubai cast member.
Regardless of who Candiace was aiming at specifically, the tweet is sure to spark some friction in the Real Housewives universe soon enough.
This is Candiace’s third season on the RHOP Maryland-based reality show. Should Candiace ever decide to leave RHOP behind, a full-time music career could be her next step. The former Miss United States is currently on tour promoting her debut album, Deep Space.
