Tia Mowry Moves Forward w/ Divorce From Cory Hardrict Days After He Publicly Expressed His Love For Her

It looks like Tia Mowry is moving forward with her divorce, no matter what!

According to RadarOnline, the television actress has served her soon-to-be ex-husband Cory Hardrict with divorce papers, just days after he expressed his love for her and their family via Instagram Live. She reportedly paid a process server to deliver the paperwork to a Studio City home on October 21.

This move may shock some, as fans hoped the former love birds would be able to work things out.

Cory Hardrict hopped on Live on October 18 to promote All American: Homecoming to his fans.

During the Live, Cory Hardrict said,

“Continue to support the show. Ight? I appreciate y’all. Coach Marcus. Sending nothing but love. It’s love y’all.”

He added,

theJasmineBRAND previously reported that Tia Mowry filed for divorce from Cory after nearly 14 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences. She shared the news in a post on Instagram, saying,

“I have always been honest with my fans, and today is no different. I wanted to share that Cory and I have decided to go our separate ways. These decisions are never easy, and not without sadness. We will maintain a friendship as we co-parent our beautiful children. I am grateful for all the happy times we had together and want to thank my friends, family and fans for your love and support as we start this new chapter moving forward in our lives.”

The two started dating six years before getting married in 2008, after meeting on the set of the movie Hollywood Horror, in which they both starred. They have two children together: Cree, 11, and Cairo, 4.

According to the legal documents, Tia Mowry is asking for joint custody and the prohibition against either party requesting spousal support.

Many assumed that Cory‘s infidelity was the reason for the divorce, but he put an end to those rumors on Oct. 5, the day after their forthcoming divorce was made public. He responded to a fan’s remark under an Instagram photo alleging he had an affair and said “lies.”

Tia retained the services of Laura Wasser to represent her in the matter. The formidable lawyer represented both Dr. Dre and Kim Kardashian during their bitter divorce proceedings.
