One thing about it, actress Lupita Nyong’o is going to stay booking the big roles!
According to reports, Lupita Nyong’o has been tapped to star in ‘A Quiet Place’ Prequel ‘Day One.’ The third installment of the Paramount horror franchise is slated to be released on March 8, 2024. As of now, key details surrounding the project are being kept quiet. However, reports do note that the premise of the project comes from ‘The Office’ star John Krasinski, who directed and co-starred in the first two ‘Quiet Place’ movies alongside his spouse Emily Blunt.
The first two films from the ‘Quiet Place’ universe center around a post-apocalyptic Earth that’s filled with scary monsters who are attracted to sound. In the films, viewers watch as Evelyn Abbott (Emily Blunt) and Lee Abbott (John Krasinski) do whatever it takes to protect their family and adjust to the new normal. The first film was released in 2018 and it grossed more than $350 million worldwide and received critical acclaim.
The second installment, ‘A Quiet Place Part II,’ hit theaters on May 28, 2021. The follow-up was also a hit, bringing in $297.4 million worldwide.
Lupita Nyong’o is no stranger to being a part of successful projects. As you may already know, her film ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ is set to be released next week on November 11. The highly anticipated sequel to ‘Black Panther’ already has fans talking as many are waiting to see what has come of the project since the passing of Chadwick Boseman.

Chadwick Boseman
Lupita Nyong’o recently spoke on what it was like to lose the star of the Black Panther’ franchise. She said,
“That is not the death of the Black Panther, that’s the whole point. It’s laying to rest [T’Challa] and allowing for real life to inform the story of the movies. I know that there are all sorts of reasons why people want him to be recast, but I don’t have the patience. I don’t have the presence of mind, or I don’t have the objectivity to argue with that. I don’t. I’m very biased.”

Fans can also watch Lupita Nyong’o in many of her other projects including ‘Us,’ ’12 Years A Slave, ‘Little Monsters,’ and ‘Queen of Katwe.’
