Offset Breaks Silence Following The Death Of Takeoff, Shares The Pain He’s Left With is ‘Unbearable’
Offset is breaking his silence on the death of his cousin and Migos groupmate Takeoff.
On Tuesday (Nov.15) Offset (born Kiari Kendrell Cephus) took to Instagram and shared a heartfelt message and tribute to Takeoff. In part, he wrote,
“Dear Take, The pain you have left me with is unbearable. My heart is shattered and I have so many things to say, but I can’t find the words. I’ve been going to sleep and waking up hoping that all of this is a dream, but it’s reality, and reality feels like a nightmare.”

Offset told fans that he wishes he could hug, laugh, smoke, and perform with Takeoff “one last time.”
He continued,
“I know someone with a soul like yours is in heaven now. I hope you can see how much we love you and miss you. You have left a hole in my heart that will never be filled.”
Offset concluded his post by asking for “strength” and telling his late cousin,
“I love you forever.”

As previously reported, Takeoff (born Kirshnik Ball) was shot and killed at a bowling alley in Houston, Texas on Nov. 1. His uncle and group member, Quavo, was at the venue with him and could be heard on video crying as he screamed his name. To date, no arrests have been made for Takeoff’s death.

On November 11, thousands gathered in Atlanta at the State Farm Arena for a Celebration of Life service for Takeoff. Reportedly, the venue – which can hold 20,000 people – reached full capacity shortly after tickets became available to the public on Tuesday (Nov. 8). As expected, in addition to the fans that arrived to give Takeoff their final goodbyes, countless celebrities showed up to pay their respects as well, including Drake, Justin Bieber, and Chloe Bailey.
