Jennifer Lopez – Social Media Users React To Singer’s Media Accounts Going Dark: Not Her Trying To Pull A Beyoncé
Is Jennifer Lopez preparing to drop new music?
Yesterday (Nov. 22) Jennifer “J.Lo” Lopez went dark on all her social media accounts. In addition to changing her profile picture on her accounts to a black avatar, the “On The Floor” singer removed all the images from her Instagram page.

Jennifer Lopez’s most recent studio album, “A.K.A.,” was released in 2014. However, she hasn’t been fully away from the music scene since then. In 2020, J.Lo performed at the Super Bowl halftime show alongside Shakira, which was the basis for her Netflix documentary feature “Halftime.” The film was released earlier this year. In June, she dropped a “Halftime” remix of her song “Same Girl.”
It’s unclear why J.Lo has gone dark on the internet but some speculate she could be gearing up to release new music. Whatever the reason, social media users couldn’t help but notice that her latest actions resemble the rollout of Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” project. One user wrote,
“Not her trying to pull a Beyonce girl it’s not that serious”

Another added,
“you can’t put on a Beyoncé wig and be Beyoncé.”

As you may recall, over the summer, before her seventh studio album “Renaissance” was released, Beyoncé changed the profile picture across her social platforms to a black image.

Even though she faced some criticism for seemingly following in Beyoncé‘s footsteps, countless of J.Lo’s fans have shared excitement over the possibility of her releasing new music. They shared,
“MOTHERRS COMING”

Another fan noted,
“Finally a new album Love you [J.Lo] and thank you for all your art”

Others weighed in and said:
