During the “Emancipation” premiere, which will be in theaters on Friday (Dec. 2), Deon Taylor teased an upcoming collaboration with rapper DaBaby. After jokingly dragging DaBaby into his interview, Deon Taylor praised the 30-year-old:
“He is one of the greatest artist right now that we have in the space and soon will be one of the greatest actors we’ve seen. For real man.”

The North Carolina native agreed in confidence:
“Believe that.”
The filmmaker added:
“We got something we’re working on right now. It’s gon’ be incredible.”
The rapper born Jonathan Lyndale Kirk chimed in:
“Got something I’m working on with the great Deon Taylor for sure. Believe that.”
