Comedian Druski Says Kevin Hart Told Him To ‘Stop Being A B*tch’ While Giving Advice On The World Of Comedy: These New Cats, Y’all Scared
Druski is putting his fears aside as he pursues stand-up comedy.
In a recent interview with “The Breakfast Club,” comedian Druski spoke about giving the OG’s in comedy respect. When asked if he feels like he has to honor the comics that came before him, Druski, born Drew Desbordes, shared:
“Yeah, I think that always happens, man. I think you gotta go through the hard work.”

The 28-year-old continued and revealed the tough love he received from vet comedian Kevin Hart:
“The first thing Kevin Hart told me — I went to his show and I went backstage. I was just watching him, you know, everybody congratulating him ‘oh my God it was a great show! Oh my God.’ I was just looking at him from across the room ‘cause they invited me to the green room and I’m just ‘alright when’s my moment to say wassup?’ I was kind of nervous you know?”
Druski continued:
“I’m expecting to just be like ‘you had a great show’ Dude breezes past me and he looks at me and says ‘stop being a b*tch.’”
He admitted:
“I was like ‘what the hell is he talking about man?’ I had my hand extended out! Like for ‘hey what’s up man?’ I thought he was gonna be like ‘you killin this sh*t man!’ He walked past me again he said ‘I’m telling you stop being a b*tch.’”

The Baltimore native then explained why Hart gave him such intense advice:
“I’m like ‘what the f*ck?’ So I’m asking his boys, I’m like ‘yo what is Kevin talking about for real?’ He walked up to me and he said ‘get on that stage. Stop acting like you too good to do stand up.’ He was like, ‘you doing all the little hosting and tours, but you ain’t doing what you supposed to be doing.’ He said ‘see y’all scared man.’ He said ‘these new cats, y’all scared, y’all think y’all got all the fame, y’all think y’all the sh*t.’ He said ‘stop being a b*tch!’”
Druski added:
“That hit my soul man. I started going to these open mics and working on my set.”
Although Kevin Hart said Druski had to put in the hard work to be respected in the game, the comedian has a history where his jokes come across as controversial to some. As previously reported, back in April, Druski posted a comedy sketch video to his 4.1 million Instagram followers that seemingly depicts how men purposely go out of their way to get women drunk at parties. He faced negative reactions from fans, which caused him to delete the video, however, it is still available online.

The comedian has also been in a bad place with rapper NBA YoungBoy after he made an inappropriate joke about his fiancée, Jazlyn Mychelle. Druski commented on Jazlyn Mychelle’s, who gave birth to the rapper’s 10th child, postpartum appearance seemingly calling her fat. He said:
“B*tch look like me”

NBA YoungBoy, 22, found the joke offensive and said:
“@druski this why y’all n*gg*s be dying.”
