Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ Soars To The Top Of Billboard Chart For The 4th Year In A Row, Breaking Chart Record
All anyone wants to hear for Christmas seems to be Mariah Carey!
The “All I Want For Christmas Is You” songstress recently broke a Billboard Hot 100 record with the iconic holiday hit, as it returned to the #1 spot for its fourth consecutive year.
Reportedly, the 1994 song surged in popularity in 2019, taking the #1 Billboard Hot 100 spot during the December holiday season. The hit went on to reclaim the top spot during the Christmas season again in 2020, 2021, and once again this year. Reports state the single has amassed a total of 9 weeks now sitting at the #1 spot, breaking multiple records for the artist.

Mariah Carey, 52, now has the only record in history to chart #1 four different times. Additionally, the R&B singer now holds the record for the longest span of an artist ranking at number 1. Reportedly, Carey’s debut single “Vision Of Love” landed the #1 spot back in 1990, and the musician has continued to reign for 32 years.

One would think the singer’s obvious dominance during the holiday season would warrant her being coined the “Queen Of Christmas.” However, Carey won’t be financially benefiting from the term anytime soon. As previously reported, the “Touch My Body” singer’s application to trademark the phrase was shot down earlier this year.
In a recent interview, however, the holiday guru claimed she never wanted the title in the first place. Carey stated:
“Others have said it. [Like], ‘The self-proclaimed ‘Queen [of Christmas]!’ I’m like, ‘Really? I’m gonna do that?’ They can look up every interview I’ve ever done, and not to get super religious, but I was like, ‘I think like if anybody would be the ‘Queen of Christmas’ that would be Mary!’

Still, the Grammy-winning artist is keeping her Christmas spirit high, per usual! Carey appeared for her annual “All I Want For Christmas Is You” performance at this year’s Macy’s Day Thanksgiving Parade. Additionally, the singer was also recently joined onstage by her 11-year-old daughter Monroe. The duo sang a beautiful duet at a Christmas concert in Canada.
