Adidas Reportedly Left w/ Over Half A Billion Dollars Worth Of Yeezys Following Split w/ Kanye West
As the year comes to an end, Adidas is seemingly still working out the kinks of what life looks like post-Kanye “Ye” West.
According to reports, Kanye West’s antisemitic rants have allegedly left Adidas with an abundance of Yeezys that they need to sell. Last month reports surfaced that Adidas still intends to sell Yeezy products even though they’re no longer working with Kanye West. The retail giant’s upcoming rollout of the famed shoe brand will not include the Yeezy name and branding.
New reports allege that Adidas had no choice but to rebrand the Yeezys because they’re sitting on an inventory that amounts to around $530 million. Allegedly, Adidas is looking to sell the mountain of Yeezys in order to avoid an even bigger financial loss. It was previously reported that the termination of the partnership with Kanye West cost them more than $250 million in profit and $500 million in lost sales. Reportedly, since at least 2019, Yeezys have remained a constant product in the Adidas wheelhouse. A date for Adidas’ first unofficial Yeezy release has been set for the top of 2023.
The company is reportedly calling the upcoming drop Adidas 350 V2 “Granite,” and it’s supposed to retail for $230.

As you may recall, Adidas, and other major corporations, cut ties with the “Donda” rapper following multiple antisemitic rants he had during interviews and on social media. After Adidas gave West the boot, he showed up at the Sketcher’s headquarters in October seemingly in hopes of working with the shoe company. However, Sketcher wasted no time in letting it be known they had no interest in working with West.
