Actor LaKeith Stanfield started 2023 with quite the bang, but not so much in a good way!

Following his engagement to model Kasmere Trice, a 24-year-old artist by the name of Tylor Hurd recently accused LaKeith Stanfield of being a deadbeat father to their “hidden” infant daughter, Apollo.

However, he has since issued a brief statement on social media, and (from the looks of it) his personal drama isn’t necessarily at the pinnacle of his focus right now.

Under a recent image on his Instagram, LaKeith Stanfield expressed the joy he’s been able to feel with those closest to him and his mission to make the most of his career this year. He wrote,

“Back to work. Loved the holidays and spending time with family. Some really great moments with loved ones. Beautiful time with my [fiancée] and the reinforcement of our bond in the midst of any kind of climate.”

The 31-year-old continued by (seemingly) letting it be known that things with his soon-to-be wifey are still good too.

“Love is a trip because at the same time it can inspire really massive beautiful feelings of connectedness, it can also inspire pain and anger, and at the end of the day I think that’s part of what makes it so special. Time to place focus back on the craft at hand. Let God guide. Cheers to a fire new year!”

As previously reported, just a day after his new fiancée’s announcement about their upcoming jumping-the-broom moment, the internet-breaking news of an “undisclosed” infant came in the form of a compilation video. In the now-viral TikTok, Tylor Hurd shared photos of Stanfield and their baby girl, indicating that she was tired of acting as the ‘Atlanta’ star’s kept secret.

She wrote in the caption:

“[I] decided to leave being someone’s secret family in 2022. Meet Apollo Stanfield.”

Additionally, Tylor Hurd alleged that she and Stanfield mutually wanted a child together, but since Apollo’s birth, he hasn’t been as present in her life as she would’ve liked him to be. She even claimed that he bailed on getting a nanny for their daughter while Hurd worked her day job.

She tweeted:

“He’s not a good dad lol i can count on my hand how many times he’s been with my girl. I got a job and he agreed to get the nanny [but] never got the nanny. I always did my part and always tried to give him grace.”

Hurd detailed,

“Am I not allowed to be hurt by a man who wanted a baby with me but barely sees her? I’ve been asking him to do more for months but it’s okay I’m going to just let the courts handle it.”

Of course, Hurd’s revelation sparked controversy, and she later received loads of backlash for putting Stanfield on the front street. Hurd ultimately clapped back at the naysayers and addressed the “bitter baby mama” speculation.

According to Hurd, upon her trying to connect with Stanfield’s partner, Kasmere Trice, she quickly realized that a pending Mrs. Stanfield didn’t have it on her agenda to speak with the co-parent.

She said on her Instagram Story,

“Just to clear a few things up i’m not jealous that he’s engaged to a woman he’s known for 5 months, I tried to meet the girl and everything and she ignored me when i tried.”

Apparently, she’s made attempts to link up with Apollo’s father as well, but…to no avail. Although many perceived the few photos of Stanfield with the child as a representation of his parenting, Hurd claimed otherwise.

She added,

“What I’m upset about is that he’s made more time to spend with this woman than he’s spent with Apollo her whole life and has been actively ignoring me when i’m trying to figure things out for our child. and those clips of him and [Apollo] together are all i have in general cause he barely sees her.”

Stanfield eventually responded to the allegations by stating that he “values his privacy” and didn’t want to “blast his child.”

He wrote underneath an Instagram post,

“You aren’t a secret family, I just value my privacy. We just aren’t in a relationship. That’s no reason to go against the things we talked about in earnest. Thanks for respecting my not wanting to blast my child out to the internet. Very considerate of you.”

Hurd came back at Stanfield, mentioning that he’d been denying the paternity of Apollo.

“Value your privacy is why you lied to people saying she wasn’t your baby or that I was just a random? you value your privacy but your gf post everything y’all do lol okay.”

Hurd’s online remarks about the matter have (seemingly) been removed.

Along with Baby Apollo, Stanfield and ‘Precious’ actress Xosha Roquemore also share a daughter. The former couple began dating in 2015 and gave birth to their little one in 2017.
