T.J. Holmes Is ‘Confident’ He’ll Be Cleared After ABC Review Amidst Workplace Affair
It looks like T.J. Holmes isn’t worried about losing his job!
As ABC News’ workplace review of T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach’s affair continues, insiders tell sources that Holmes feels he will be cleared and allowed back to work.
An insider told sources,
“Of course, he’s taking [the review] seriously, but he’s confident he’s done nothing wrong that would merit him to lose his job.”
Another source claims that the reason the review is taking this long is because the network is being “super careful” after it was revealed that T.J. Holmes had multiple affairs with woman inside the workplace. The insider said,
“They want to make sure there aren’t going to be even more women coming out.”
Meanwhile, insiders say “people are frustrated” with ABC News boss Kim Godwin and how long it is taking them to make a decision on the GMA3 anchors. One insider said,
“The whole situation was totally mishandled, and the longer they wait to make a decision, it only makes things more complicated and worse.”
Another insider said,
“They put them on the air, pulled them off, and now it’s been weeks. A lot of people are like, ‘Come on, deal with this!’ They really need to handle it.”
As previously reported, T.J. Holmes, 45, and Amy Robach, 49, are temporarily suspended from the news program following their affair going public. ABC originally stated that as two consenting adults, neither of their employees technically violated any company policies. Still, the affair caused a wave of negative attention as both parties were still married to their spouses at the time they went public.
It appears both Holmes and Robach are growing impatient as well. After keeping a low-profile, the couple emerged over the holidays and were caught displaying PDA while in Miami. One person who isn’t too fond of the PDA is T.J. Holmes estranged wife, Marilee Fiebig who recently broke her silence surrounding his very publicized affair with Amy Robach.
According to new reports, Marilee Fiebig spoke out against the affair through her divorce lawyer, claiming that T.J. Holmes had a “lack of discretion, respect, and sensitivity” amid the downfall of their 12-year marriage. Marilee Fiebig’s attorney, Stephanie Lehman, said:
“During the holiday season and in light of the challenging times, Marilee’s sole focus has remained on the overall best interest of her 9-year-old daughter.”
Stephanie Lehman continued:
“To that end T.J.’s lawyer and I have been working together to move their divorce forward privately, expeditiously and as amicably as possible.”
She added:
“Notwithstanding, we continue to be disappointed by T.J’s lack of discretion, respect and sensitivity toward Marilee and the party’s daughter. Marilee has been touched by the outpouring of support and looks forward to a new beginning in this new year.”
