Damar Hamlin Applies For ‘Did We Win’ & ‘Three Is Back’ Trademarks + Shares Proceeds From Recently Released T-Shirt ‘Will Go To First Responders & The UC Trauma Center’

Damar Hamlin applied for two trademarks following his medical emergency last week.

According to reports, the NFL star is seeking to own the phrases, “Did We Win” and “Three Is Back.”

According to the United States Patent and Trademark Office records, Damar Hamlin filed for the trademarks on Jan. 6, just days after he went into cardiac arrest on the field during the Bills vs. Bengals game. The records show that Hamlin wants to use the phrases on various clothing items such as shirts, jerseys, sweatshirts, hats, pants, shorts, and jackets. In addition to having the phrases printed onto posters, mugs, and ornamental novelty pins.

The phrase “Did We Win” became notable and tied to Damar Hamlin after doctors claimed those were some of the first words the athlete uttered after he woke up at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Surprisingly, the 24-year-old has already created and released “Did We Win?” t-shirts.

On Sunday (Jan.8) Hamlin tweeted that the shirts were a way for him to give back to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He shared that proceeds from the shirt will go to “first responders and the UC Trauma Center.”

“We all won. I want to give back an ounce of the love y’all showed me. Proceeds of this shirt will go to first-responders and the UC Trauma Center. Go get yours!”

As previously reported, Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field during a Bills vs. Bengals game on Jan.2. According to reports, things took a left turn when Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin fell on his back moments after getting up from an open field tackle on Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins. 10 seconds after his fall, Hamlin was administered CPR on the field and was taken out of the stadium to an ambulance.

Thankfully, the athlete is on the road to recovery and was released from a Cincinnati hospital and transferred to Buffalo General Medical Center on Monday (Jan.9). Since then, he has shown great progress and was released from the medical center on Wednesday (Jan. 11). In a remarkable turn of events, Damar Hamlin is being sent home just 10 days after going into cardiac arrest.

The Buffalo Bills made the announcement on Wednesday morning.

Damar’s critical care physician, Jamie Nadler, provided an update on his condition, saying,

“We have completed a series of tests and evaluations, and in consultation with the team physicians, we are confident that Damar can be safely discharged to continue his rehabilitation at home and with the Bills.”
