‘Family Matters’ Actor Darius McCrary Filed Restraining Order Against Ex, Says She Threatened To Steal His Dog, Calls Him A Punk & Is Emotionally Abusive

Darius McCrary is tired of his ex-girlfriend’s shenanigans.

According to RadarOnline, actor Darius McCrary has filed for a restraining order against his ex who allegedly threatened to steal his dog. This is the “Family Matters” star’s second restraining order attempt, as he asked the court for a protective order against his ex last August after she allegedly broke his car window and tried to harm him with a lead pipe. A judge denied Darius McCrary’s protection order after he was listed as a no-show on court documents. The 46-year-old claimed he was absent from the court date because he was “displaced” at the time due to having to avoid his ex.

McCrary is now back in court once again claiming he was “emotionally traumatized, and cannot focus on work or day to day for fear.” Court documents state that the ‘90s sitcom actor’s petition states that his ex-girlfriend threatened to steal his dog and that she’d taken over his home, which he described as a “drug den” under her watch. He said:

“She turned our then home into a drug den, she agreed to leave the country to attend rehab.”

He added:

“She has returned and is now calling and sending threats. She has taken my possessions and placed them in storage and refuses to return them. She continues to be mentally abusive.”

The “Wayward” actor said he had enough and decided to go to court in December 2022 when there was a possibility of his dog’s life being on the line. He shared:

“She threatened to have her friends come take my dog and if I don’t pay her. She has keys to my vehicle.”

McCrary added:

“She will not return my personal items and is attempting to extort me.”

The California native told the court:

“I am afraid she will cause further damage. She continues to call me a punk (and other names we are choosing not to list) and is slandering my name in several professional circles of the entertainment industry.”

McCrary added that the situation had him nervous that he would “end up like Phil Hartman,” a famous comedian who was fatally shot by his wife, Brynn Omdahl, in a murder-suicide in 1998 while their marriage dissolved.
