Todrick Hall Claims Ellen DeGeneres’ Toxic Workplace Scandal Put Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss ‘Under A Lot Of Pressure’ Prior To His Death

 Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss was allegedly going through a rough time months before his suicide. 

According to famed dancer/ TV personality Todrick Hall, the toxic workplace scandal that previously surrounded “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” put Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss under a lot of pressure. During a recent interview, the “RuPaul’s Drag Race” judge said:

“People were looking at him like: ‘Why are you still supporting this woman?’” 

Hall added:

“And I think he was under a lot of pressure.”

Todrick Hall claimed that tWitch received a lot of heat after he defended Ellen DeGeneres for the serious allegations that came out against her talk show. He added that the criticism may have contributed to tWitch’s state of mind in the months before his death. Todrick Hall continued:

“I don’t know what was going on in his life that may have led him to make that decision but I do understand.” 

Hall then shared:

“Right now when I get online some days like right now, if I was in the wrong position of where this abuse would keep happening for years and years and years, there’s only so much a human being can take.”

Recalling their good times, he added:

“He was just somebody who always supported me. He was also kind and down to earth. He came over to my house a couple of times and we shot TikTok videos together.

As previously reported, the “So You Think You Can Dance” dancer died at 40 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on December 13, 2022. He left behind his wife Allison Holker and their three children: Maddox, Zaia, and his adopted daughter Weslie, whom Allison Holker had during a previous relationship.

After initially joining “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” in 2014 as the DJ, tWitch became a co-executive producer in 2020, the same year the toxic workplace allegations against Ellen surfaced. As you may recall, Following the claims from previous employees, Ellen ultimately made the decision to end the show in the summer of 2022, after 19 years on the air. 

Ellen paid tribute to tWitch following his death in a video she posted on Instagram. She shared:

“Everyone is in pain and trying to make sense of it — we will never make sense of it. The holidays are hard, I think, anyway, but I think the best thing we can do to honor tWitch is to laugh, and hug each other and to play games and dance and sing.”

She added:

“That’s the way we honor him. We do the things he loved to do.”
