Will Smith & Martin Lawrence Announce ‘Bad Boys 4’ Is Moving Forward: It’s Official!
Great news for the “Bad Boys” movie lovers!
In a surprise joint announcement, the franchise stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence teamed up to announce the fourth installment is officially in the works!

Posting the big reveal to his social media accounts, “Emancipation” actor Will Smith, 54, starts off the video by teasing his 62 million IG followers with a big announcement. Beaming with excitement, the Oscar winner eventually knocks on the door of recurring “Bad Boys” co-star Martin Lawrence, 57, and the two jointly share the news.

Lawrence opens the door, immediately exclaiming:
“It’s about that time?”
With Smith responding:
“It’s official!”
Before collectively screaming:
“Bad Boys 4 Life!”

Smith and Lawrence went on to bask in their excitement, joking that the franchise’s 3rd film titled “Bad Boys For Life,” released in 2020, should’ve been saved for the coming movie. When “BBFL” premiered, fans of Miami-Dade detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett (played by Smith and Lawrence respectively) were ecstatic to hear that discussions of another film had already begun.

The original film follows the lives of the main characters as they work to uncover drug rings around the city. In 1995, “Bad Boys” earned $141 million worldwide, while the 2003 sequel “Bad Boys II” totaled $273 million. Surpassing both prequels, “Bad Boys for Life” earned $426.5 million at the worldwide box office.
Back in March of last year, it was reported another “Bad Boys” movie might not happen. After Smith infamously slapped comedian Chris Rock on stage at the Oscars, many of his projects were reportedly halted. Though “Bad Boys 4” was initially reported as postponed indefinitely, Lawrence came out to clear the air shortly after, denying the rumors.

Reportedly, the Sony Pictures film is in early pre-production and will be directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah. There are no details about the movie’s release date at this time.
