Jay-Z Seemingly Attempts To Calm Denzel Washington Down During Heated Argument At Lakers Game
It looks like things may have gotten heated at Tuesday night’s (Feb. 7) Lakers Game.
In a recently surfaced video, Jay-Z is seen attempting to calm down Denzel Washington during a heated argument at an L.A. Lakers game.
In a now viral clip, Denzel Washington can be seen yelling at someone on the sidelines, before the New York rapper steps in and diffuses the situation. The pair are then seen throwing their arms around each other before laughing and smiling as they walk back to their seats.

The two men were attending Tuesday night’s legendary game where Lebron James broke the all-time NBA scoring record, surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. James became the leading scorer in NBA history after he scored his 38,388th point. The game came to a 10-minute halt as family, friends, and fans celebrated his latest achievement inside of the arena. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who watched the game from a baseline seat near the Lakers bench, was also present to pass on the game ball to LeBron James, a ceremonial passing of the torch.

Lebron James isn’t the only one who’s had an eventful week. Jay-Z was crowned the greatest rapper of all time by Billboard and Vibe. In honor of this year marking the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, the famed publications recently concluded their ’50 Greatest Rappers of All Time’ list.

In the highly-anticipated ‘Top 10’ reveal, Jay-Z snagged the number one spot, while fellow lyricists Kendrick Lamar (#2), Nas (#3), Tupac (#4), Eminem (#5), The Notorious B.I.G. (#6), Lil Wayne (#7), Drake (#8), Snoop Dogg (#9), and Nicki Minaj (#10) occupy the seats that follow.
Jay-Z also received three nominations at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards last week and ended the ceremony with his 4-minute verse on DJ Khaled’s “GOD DID,” which was up for Song of the Year, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance.
