Lil Nas X Named In $1 Million Lawsuit Over Bash At Hollywood Hills Mansion
Lil Nas X has been named in a lawsuit over an April 2022 bash at a mansion in Los Angeles.
According to reports, rapper/singer Lil Nas X ignored a property owner’s demand to not party in his fancy Hollywood Hills mansion. The “Old Town Road” singer allegedly left the place trashed after the huge bash, which the landlord said left considerable damage to the property.
Reportedly, Lil Nas X, 23, and famed DJ, DJ Zedd, 33, are among the defendants being sued by landlord Daniel Fitzgerald, who owns many luxury homes in the Hollywood Hills area.
In his suit, Daniel Fitzgerald said that as a part of the leasing agreement, he told tenants they were not to throw any parties on the premises, reports state. However, the orders were violated in April of 2022 when the tenants hosted a massive party which was reportedly attended by 1,000 people, with Lil Nas X performing and DJ Zedd spinning tunes for the partygoers.
Daniel Fitzgerald alleged Lil Nas X, DJ Zedd, the party promoters, and sponsors knew they weren’t supposed to be having a party on the property, but ignored the aforementioned orders. According to the landlord, more than $25,000 in physical damage was done to the property, with the walls, ceilings, sofas, and chairs left in need of repair.
Fitzgerald also said he lost $40,000 in rental fees he could have collected in the month in which repairs were made following the bash. In addition, the property owner said the party rattled neighbors and got him into trouble with local authorities.
Both Lil Nas X and Zedd were reportedly paid a minimum of $250,000 a piece for their appearances at the party. Fitzgerald has requested compensatory and punitive damages of at least $1 million in his suit against the entertainers as well as the promoters and sponsors of the bash.
