Future Reportedly Set to Launch New Medical Marijuana & Cannabis Brand
It looks like Future might be venturing into a new business!
According to trademark attorney Clarissa Harvey, Future might be launching a new medical marijuana & cannabis brand.
On February 17, his legal team reportedly filed six 1(b) intent-to-use trademark applications in several classes for “EVOL BY FUTURE” to be used in connection with smoking lounge services, vape pens, medicated oils, etc.
According to the legal document under ‘goods and services,’ Future plans on,
“providing a website featuring health information in the field of medical marijuana and cannabis.”

The name of the company appears to be, “Evol by Future.” According to Harvey, the brand name “Evol” is simply the word ‘love’ spelled backward. It looks like Future has been saving the name Evol for quite some time. Back in 2016, Future tweeted,
“Love backwards #EVOL”

The Atlanta rapper appears to be more business-focused as of late.
As previously reported, Future sold a portion of his music catalog that includes his most memorable chart-topping hits!
According to reports, music and rights company Influence Media Partners acquired Future’s publishing catalog from 2004 to 2020. The rap star’s work from those years reportedly spans 612 tracks, including titles with frequent collaborator Drake such as “Life Is Good” and “Jumpman,” as well as work he’s done with other artists like Kendrick Lamar (“King’s Dead”), Rihanna (“Selfish”), and The Weeknd (“Low Life”). The deal also includes Future’s own solo hits like “Mask Off.”
The “March Madness” rapper previously said,
“I put everything into my music, and I wanted to make sure these were in good hands as I thought about the next chapter of these songs. I’m proud to partner up with Rene and the team at Influence Media and send a signal that this music has timeless value. My music is my art, and these songs represent some of the most precious artwork of my career.”
