Nicki Minaj Trends After Seemingly Throwing Shots At Megan Thee Stallion During Rolling Loud Performance: ‘I Don’t F*ck w/ Horses’
Nicki Minaj has (supposedly) been “rolling” a lot of shade toward Megan Thee Stallion lately!
Just days after the controversial release of her new single, “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” (where fans suspected her to have dissed fellow rapstress Megan Thee Stallion) Nicki Minaj is back at it again.
If you didn’t know, on Sunday (Mar. 5), amid his highly-anticipated set for Rolling Loud, Lil Wayne blessed festivalgoers with a special appearance from Nicki Minaj. However, while attendees roared excitedly over the celebrated lyricist’s incoming performance, Minaj seemed to have other things that she wanted to spit into the microphone as well.
Ahead of the intro to her song “Chun Li,” the 40-year-old further fed the rumors of “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” being an indirect shot at Megan Thee Stallion by making it a point to cite some of the lyrics of the recently released track.
Minaj said before the audience,
“I mean, I don’t f*ck with horses. I said… seven hunnid horses when we fixin’ to leave, but I don’t f*ck with horses since Christopher Reeve’s.”
The verse is (seemingly) a mention of the late ‘Superman’ actor Christopher Reeve, who suffered a severe tumble off of a horse in 1995 that left him paralyzed from the neck down. Additionally, some listeners of the track believe that the lyrics are in connection to Megan Thee Stallion, whose moniker is also in relation to the slang usage of the term “horse.”

Although Minaj and Stallion have yet to officially confirm the beef, social media users sparked the allegations of a possible feud between the two following Stallion’s 2020 collaboration, “WAP,” with Minaj’s infamous, longtime industry enemy, Cardi B.
As we know, Stallion and Minaj had a budding friendship after their uber-successful anthem, “Hot Girl Summer,” in 2019. But… many now believe that Minaj snipped the relationship when the “Pressurelicious” rhymer decided to work with Cardi B.
With Minaj having unfollowed Stallion on Instagram and a number of subliminal jabs tossed in the media (paired with Minaj and Stallion’s refusal to truly set the record straight), assumptions have spread like wildfire.
More fuel was added to the fire last September, when Minaj took to her podcast, ‘Queen Radio,’ to address a situation where an unnamed person tried to force her to drink alcohol while pregnant. Reportedly, they even went as far as suggesting that she get an abortion so that she could have a sip.
The “Super Freaky Girl” phenomenon detailed,
“Imagine telling someone you didn’t want a drink… you know, because you were, at the time, possibly pregnant, because you were actively trying to have a baby. Imagine that person saying, ‘Oh, girl, you can go to the clinic.”
She then shared that the unidentified individual failed to even congratulate her upon her pregnancy announcement until noticing that songstress Beyoncé had.
“Imagine posting photos that you’re pregnant… and the person doesn’t even like it or say congratulations. But then, when you post that Beyoncé sent you flowers, congratulating you, the person then tries to attempt to send you followers thinking that, ‘Oh, I could use this opportunity as I use everything else. She’ll post that I sent her flowers.”
Throughout her career, fellow Houstonian Stallion has been very vocal about her praise for Beyoncé, and the earlier days of her brand were built around “driving the boat,” where she often encouraged her supporters/friends to take shots at her shows/events. Minaj’s remarks prompted the public to gather that they were about Stallion.
Of course, the ‘Traumazine’ cleared the air, deeming the comments “lies,” and the matter was sort of put to rest. But… Minaj’s “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” track has certainly caused room for the falling-out to be rehashed.
This is what Twitter had to say about Nicki Minaj’s alleged shots at Megan Thee Stallion:
