‘RHOP’ Star Robyn Dixon’s Husband Juan Fired From Head Basketball Coaching Position At Coppin State University
Unfortunate news for Juan Dixon!
According to reports, “Real Housewives of Potomac” star Robyn Dixon’s, 44, husband Juan Dixon has been fired as head baseball coach from Coppin State University after six seasons. As of now, it’s unclear why the former NBA player was released. However, this story comes months after Juan Dixon, 44, was named in a lawsuit by former Coppin State guard Ibn Williams for allegedly ignoring the sexual assault and blackmail he faced by another player-turned-coach.
As previously reported, on Nov. 2, 2022, Ibn Williams filed a 15-page lawsuit – in Baltimore City Circuit Court – which included accusations that Lucian Brownlee catfished him online after providing him with intimate photos and messages. Reportedly, Lucian Brownlee blackmailed Ibn Williams into recording an adult film and when he refused a sexual encounter, Brownlee made the footage public.
The lawsuit also alleges that Lucian Brownlee — a former guard who went on to serve as the Director of Player Development and Director of Basketball Operations — tortured, harassed, and sexually assaulted the player before publishing the tape he obtained from the student.
According to the suit, Juan was notified about his staff member’s behavior but never took action. As previously reported, Ibn Williams’ attorney Daniel “Donny” Epstein stated:
“The way he was treated was abhorrent.”
He continued:
“Our strong belief is that Lucian [himself] was the catfisher.”
He added:
“The coach should have known better than to put this person in a position of seniority.”
Coppin State University — whose policy on sexual misconduct prohibits rape, sodomy, quid pro quo, stalking, sexual exploitation, coercion, and retaliation — also reportedly failed to rectify the incident. Instead, Williams was allegedly traumatized by questions about his sexual past and orientation after he requested an investigation. The school eventually terminated the basketball player’s housing and tuition assistance.
Epstein said:
“It’s cringeworthy, the questions that he was asked.”
The former basketball player completed the semester remotely and then transferred to another school to finalize his degree. Below is a view of Williams‘ previous basketball statistics:
Returning to @coppinmbb is junior Ibn Williams. Last year, Williams added 5.0 pts, 2.1 rebs & 1.2 assists while playing in all 31 games w/ 9 starts. Williams put up 18 points with four 3’s at Bethune-Cookman & was huge in CSU's win at East Carolina.#CoppinNation #EaglesFlyHigh pic.twitter.com/fpnLOp93Px

Juan was a former player for Maryland Terrapins and was named as the head coach at Coppin State in 2017 after serving as head coach of the University of the District of Columbia’s women’s basketball team for two seasons. Reportedly, Juan led the Eagles program to a 51-131 record during his time at the university, which includes a 9-23 record in the 2022-23 season. However, under his guidance, Coppin State University did reportedly tie for the MEAC North division title during the 2020-21 season.
