According to a statement from the New York Police Department, authorities were called to the scene of a Manhattan apartment after a woman reported the alleged assault. The woman is said to be his alleged girlfriend. The official police document reportedly described the 30-year-old victim as having:

“minor injuries to her head and neck,”

Jonathan Majors reportedly went with police without incident and was charged with assault, strangulation, and harassment. A rep for the star of “Creed 3” and “Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantunmania” subsequently released a statement, proclaiming his clients’ innocence. His official statement reportedly read:

“He has done nothing wrong…We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up.”

Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man and Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror in Marvel Studios’ ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA.

In a more recent statement, Majors attorney reportedly claims to have a statement from the women recanting the story. Reportedly, among the evidence included in proving the entertainers innocent includes:

“video footage from the vehicle where the alleged assault occurred, witness testimony…and most importantly, two written statements from the woman recanting these allegations.”

Shortly after news of the incident caught traction, light was shed on a few industry people who revealed their alleged similar experiences with the actor. A filmmaker by the name of A.B. Allen reportedly confirmed that his previously ambiguous tweet about a “vicious” actor was about the recently detained film star. His original tweet, retweeted by one user who commented “now we know who this tweet was about,”, read:

“There’s a particular actor, relatively new on the scene, who Twitter has violently fallen head over heels for who, in actuality, is a vicious, cruel, abusive human being, both professionally and in his personal life, and every new viral thirst tweet about him drives me insane.”

In response to the retweeted comment, Allen reportedly added “Ding / Ding / Ding / Ding.” A broadway director by the name of Tim Nicolai also shared his experience. Reportedly, he wrote on Twitter:

“it’s strangely a relief to know other humans were out there who understand.”

Additionally, Nicolai reportedly added that some graduates from NYU/Juilliard/Yale refer to Majors as “a sociopath and abuser”. Nicolai reportedly stated:

“I’m just gonna say this about Jonathan Majors and be done with it: folks at Yale and the broader NYC community have known about him for years. He’s a sociopath and abuser and that is how virtually everyone speaks about him. It’s a shame it took this long for him to be reported.”

Majors has not spoken publicly since the incident. Thus far the the US Army has been the only entity to announced it was pulling content with the movie star. An official statement reportedly read:

“While Mr. Majors is innocent until proven guilty, prudence dictates that we pull our ads until the investigation into these allegations is complete,”

Disney has not commented about the allegations at this time.
