Kim Kardashian — TV Expert Believes The Reality TV Star Will Not Disappoint w/ Upcoming ‘American Horror Story’ Performance
Kim Kardashian is taking a break from reality television to appear in American Horror Story.
While her upcoming role is raising a few eyebrows, at least one pro, who is well-versed in television, believes she is about to blow critics away.
NPR’s Eric Deggans told TMZ he believes Kim Kardashian has long been underrated and is about to take the world by storm with a strong acting performance.
Some may only see her as a standard influencer seeking to make a transition into the acting industry, but Deggans claims Kim Kardashian stands out from other aspiring TikTokers and YouTubers who have attempted to take their careers to a much greater platform because she can deliver with proper guidance.
The Kardashians star posted a teaser for the 12th season of the FX series on her social media channels on Monday (Apr. 10). It featured the message, “Emma Roberts and Kim Kardashian are delicate,” and was set to a mangled rendition of “Rock-a-Bye Baby.”

Emma Roberts posted the same teaser, adding,
“This summer…Kim and I are DELICATE #ahs #ahs12 @kimkardashian @ryanmurphyproductions.”
Ryan Murphy, a co-creator of the series, expressed his enthusiasm about the reality star joining the cast. He said,
“Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family.”
Murphy was reportedly inspired by Kardashian‘s initial hosting stint on Saturday Night Live in October 2021, which led to plans for her to join AHS.
He added,
“Emma and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture. Halley Feiffer has written a fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done.”
According to reports, Danielle Valentine‘s upcoming book, “Delicate Condition,” served as the inspiration for the 12th season of AHS. Amazon described the book as a,
“gripping thriller that follows a woman convinced a sinister figure is going to great lengths to make sure her pregnancy never happens while the men in her life refuse to believe a word she says.”
AHS — which will premiere this summer — marks Kardashian‘s return to scripted acting in over a decade. She’s had minor appearances in Disaster Movie (2008), Deep In The Valley (2009), Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor (2013), and PAW Patrol: The Movie (2021). Kardashian also portrayed herself in a few series before, including; How I Met Your Mother, 30 Rock, and Two Broke Girls.
