Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s firstborn’s name has social media going crazy! 

After keeping their son’s name a mystery since his birth, a copy of the birth certificate has recently found its way online. According to the document, the power couple named their son RZA Athelson Mayers.

Rihanna, 35, and A$AP Rocky’s son — who will be turning one in two days on May 13 — first name takes after RZA, 53, the leader of the famed hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan.

The adorable baby boy shares the same middle and last name as his father A$AP Rocky, 34, — real name Rakim Athelaston Mayers.

As mentioned above, Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA is the leader of the 1992 hip-hop collective, which includes members GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, and Ol’ Dirty Bastard until he died from a drug overdose in 2004.

The Brooklyn native is also known for scoring hit films “Kill Bill: Volume 1“ (2003) and “Kill Bill: Volume 2“ (2004). In addition to his musical talents, RZA is the mastermind behind the series “Wu-Tang: An American Saga,” which premiered on Hulu in 2019.

After news about Rihanna and Rocky’s child’s name hit the internet, Navy fans jumped to their defense, seemingly upset that the birth certificate was leaked. However, other social media users poked fun at the child’s name and some even compared it to the pronunciation of R&B singer SZA’s name. 

Rihanna and Rocky are expecting another child together. As previously reported, the pop international superstar revealed her second pregnancy during her epic Super Bowl half-time performance back in February.
