Kim Zolciak Demands Kroy Biermann Submit To Drug Tests, Afraid For Children To Be Exposed To Estranged Husband’s Marijuana Use
Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s divorce process is heating up.
As previously reported, earlier this month news broke that “Real Housewives Of Atlanta” alum Kim Zolciak, 44, filed for divorce from Kroy Biermann, 37, after 11 years of marriage. Initial reports said that Kim Zolciak cited the marriage as being “irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation.” She’s seeking primary physical custody of their 4 minor kids and joint legal custody. The reality TV star also wants spousal support and to legally restore her maiden name.
It looks like Kim’s request for primary physical custody has to do with her soon-to-be ex’s extracurricular activities. According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline, Kim has asked that Kroy Biermann be ordered to submit to random drug tests. She filed a motion for hair follicle testing of the former NFL player, asking that he not cut his hair until after the drug test is complete.
In her motion, Kim reportedly said she has,
“seen [Kroy] smoking marijuana, and she has serious concerns for the safety and well being of the minor children while in [Kroy’s] care. She is fearful that the children will be exposed to [Kroy’s] drug use.”
Kim and Kroy share 4 children together – twins Kaia Rose and Kane Ren, 9, and sons Kash Kade, 10, and Kroy Jagger, 11. Kroy also legally adopted Kim’s older daughters – Brielle, 26, and Ariana, 21, – in 2013.
Reportedly, despite their ongoing custody battle, Kim and Kroy still live under the same roof. However, reports claim that Kroy requested that the “Tardy For The Party” singer vacate the residence and not return.
It’s still unclear why exactly the famed couple decided to end things. However, it’s speculated that their ongoing financial issues played a hand in their separation. Over the past few years, they’ve faced their Atlanta home almost being foreclosed, a million-dollar tax debt lien, and a lawsuit for hefty credit card debt.
