Update: Flo Rida Agrees To Child Support Payment Package Close To $500,000

Update: (May 29, 2023): Looks like the battle between Flo Rida and his ex over child support payments for their young son has come to an end.

As previously reported, Alexis Adams claimed the rapper refused to help with the medical and living expenses of their 6-year-old son Zohar, who suffers from a rare disorder known as hydrocephalus.

According to new reports, Flo Rida recently agreed to a large child support payment package. The “Wild Ones” rapper will pay $14,000 monthly in child support, $2,212 a month in health insurance, and set up a $300,000 escrow account — that must be replenished annually — for his son.

In addition, he’s reportedly agreed to give his ex a one-time payment of $188,000. This will serve as a compensation payment for outstanding expenses Alexis Adams needs to settle regarding their son, such as the child’s school tuition.

Original story: (Apr. 26, 2023): It looks like a NYC judge isn’t too pleased with Flo Rida.

Flo Rida has ticked off a judge after failing to appear in NYC family court on Tuesday ( Apr. 25). Instead the rapper offered to attend via Zoom, something the judge did not approve of.

Flo Rida (real name Tramar Dillard) was previously ordered to pay 100% of the medical bills, educational bills, and child support to his ex Alexis Adams for their 6-year-old son Zohar who suffers from a rare disorder known as hydrocephalus.

Alexis requested the judge order the entertainer to set aside $400K in a bank account for their child’s expenses. Flo Rida seemingly has the coins to cover these financial obligations. He recently won a massive $82 million judgment in his lawsuit against energy drink manufacturer Celsius.

According to reports,  Flo Rida and his company Strong Arm Productions USA, Inc. alleged there was a breach of contract from a 2014 endorsement deal with Celsius. Reportedly, the “Wild Ones” rapper agreed to “globally market and promote all aspects of the Celsius brand.” However, Flo Rida sued the company over stock he said he was promised for his endorsement work but never received.

Because Flo Rida missed his latest court date, he wasn’t able to argue against Alexis’ request. The judge has yet to rule.

The failure to appear in court also comes a month after Zohar survived a near-death experience after falling five stories from his mother’s apartment in New Jersey.

According to Alexis, Flo Rida stopped paying the insurance just after the terrifying incident, forcing her to apply for Medicaid and Department of Education funding to cover Zohar’s medical bills. Due to the fall, Zohar unfortunately sustained multiple injuries; including a shattered pelvis, metatarsal fractures, a liver laceration, internal bleeding, and collapsed lungs.

During Zohar’s hospitalization, the “Low” artist took to his Instagram story to thank “everyone who reached out with their concerns and prayers” for his son. The 43-year-old wrote:

“He is getting the best medical care and miraculously survived a tragic fall. I ask for your continued prayers as he undergoes rehabilitation but I would appreciate that this remain a private matter.”

In a previous interview, Alexis spoke out against Flo Rida’s failed attempts to build a relationship with Zohar. She reportedly said:

“Flo Rida has only seen his son once during the paternity test but kept his shades on and his back turned. They were in the same room. He didn’t try to hug Zohar, nothing. It was very cold.”
