Actor John Stamos Was ‘Angry’ w/ Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen For Not Filming ‘Full House’ Reboot
John Stamos recently shared his reaction to his “Full House” co-stars Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen not returning to reprise their roles in the series reboot, “Fuller House.”
In a new interview, actor John Stamos, 59, opened up about how he initially felt when retired twin actresses Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen passed on the Netflix reboot of the hit ’90s sitcom “Full House.”

As you may already know, John Stamos starred alongside the now 36-year-old twin sisters for eight seasons from 1987 to 1995. He played Jesse Katsopolis, the uncle of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s character Michelle Tanner.

During his latest appearance, John Stamos recalled eventually making amends with the businesswomen after the death of their beloved costar Bob Saget last year. The late actor/comedian played Danny Tanner, the father of Mary-Kate and Ashley’s character.
According to Stamos, following the death of the “Full House” dad, the fashion designers showed up at his house with a peace offering of pork chops and sage to set their differences aside. He said,
“I gotta tell you, one of the only good things to come out of Bob’s [death] Well… Mary-Kate and Ashley, we didn’t see them much. I mean, we stayed in touch a little bit, but Bob really did. And they were so great.”

He continued,
“You hear rumors, ‘Oh, they hated their childhood, or they hated being on the show or whatever. When I did Fuller House, they didn’t wanna come back. And I was angry for a minute. And that got out.”
“Full House” follows widowed father Danny Tanner as he raises his three daughters, D.J., Stephanie, and Michelle, with assistance from his brother-in-law Jesse Katsopolis and best friend Joey Gladstone.

“Fuller House” follows a grown D.J. Tanner-Fuller, who is a veterinarian and widowed mother of three sons. Her sister Stephanie and best friend Kimmy — along with her teenage daughter — live together in her childhood home.
According to reports, the Olsens were the only original cast members who never reprised their role during the revival’s five-season run.
