Update: Saweetie Called Out By Fans After Being Spotted On Romantic Mexican Getaway w/ YG: ‘This Is So Disappointing’

Update: (May 31, 2023): Looks like there was some truth to the YG and Saweetie dating rumors — and fans of the “ICY GRL” are not happy!

Last month rumors surfaced that fellow rappers YG, 33, and Saweetie, 29, were sneaking around together at Coachella.  However, the rappers didn’t confirm that they’re Hollywood’s latest couple to watch — until now. Images have recently surfaced online of YG and Saweetie heavily packing on the PDA while on vacation in Mexico. In one image, YG seems to be enjoying himself as he cozies up next to Saweetie in the pool.

Despite the new couple looking happy together, Saweetie’s fans have made it clear that they are against the relationship. One person wrote,

“This is so disappointing”

Another added,

“Saweetie has the worst taste in men, I’m very serious.”

Others questioned how could Saweetie date YG when he’s the ex-boyfriend of her friend, Kehlani. You may recall that the Compton artist dated Kehlani back in 2019. However, they reportedly broke up after he cheated.

Rappers YG and Saweetie are reportedly now an item and were spotted getting cozy during the Coachella festival over the weekend.

Saweetie, real name Diamonté Harper, 29, shocked desert festivalgoers by popping up for a surprise performance with fellow rapper Latto. The rappers performed the Atlanta native’s song “B*tch From Da Souf (Remix)” which features Saweetie and Trina. A report from AllHipHop claims YG, real name Keenon Jackson, 33, was all smiles as he rocked out during his alleged boo’s performance.

While there is no footage of the moment, the “Who Do You Love” rapper did appear on the social media feed of fellow rappers A-Boogie With Da Hoodie and Tyga, confirming he attended the music festival.

In regards to romance, things have been relatively quiet for both musicians as of late. After Saweetie’s public split from Quavo back in 2021, the West Coast artist was briefly rumored to be dating Lil Baby. However, their situationship seemed to come to an abrupt halt after the self-proclaimed Icy Girl posted a faceless pic, seemingly sitting on the lap of the QC  artist.

The drama caused quite the stir due to Lil Baby’s on-again-off-again relationship with longtime girlfriend Jayda Cheaves. Additionally, the rumor seemed to spark a momentary beef between Lil Baby and his label mate Quavo. Eventually, the “Drip Too Hard” rapper seemingly confirmed the relationship on a track from his latest project.

As for YG, the rapper has even more so kept his relationship affairs low-key. Since his brief romance and breakup with R&B songstress Kehlani back in 2019, the Compton artist has seemingly not gone public with anyone. Kehlani later opened up about the relationship, crediting lies and deceit from YG’s end as the reason they didn’t work out, despite being in an open relationship. The former couple was only public a few months before they split.
