Tia Mowry Awarded $4.3M Family Home In Divorce Settlement
Actress Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict’s divorce settlement has been revealed.
As previously reported, the former love birds announced last October that after 14 years of marriage, they decided to go their separate ways. In her divorce petition, Tia Mowry requested joint legal and physical custody of their children and cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. She also requested that neither party receive spousal support.
Well, it looks like the “Sister, Sister” star has gotten her wish and more. According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline, Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict have both agreed to share joint legal and physical custody of their two kids – Cree, 11, and Cairo, 4.
In addition, Tia won’t have to pay child support or spousal support and she was granted their $4.3 million family home located in Studio City, CA.
There’s also a clause about what should take place if/when either party moves on with someone new. Reportedly, the ex-lovers are,
“restrained from introducing the minor children to a new romantic partner until the party has been in an exclusive relationship with the romantic partner for at least six months.”
And once that time frame has been met, Tia and Cory Hardrict have agreed that their partner will not be allowed to stay the night when their kids,
“are with that custodial parent during the first six months of the exclusive relationship.”
Despite their breakup, all seems to be good between the pair. You may recall that towards the end of last year, Tia shared that Cory would still be spending the holidays with her and their children. During an interview with the paparazzi, she said,
“Family is family, no matter what happens. And that’s what’s important to me so, we will always be family.”
