Tina Turner’s Son Reportedly Still In Jail After Attempting To ‘Eat Drugs’ Amid Police Stop To Prevent Officers From Finding Narcotics In His Possession

Just weeks before his mother’s death, Ike Turner Jr. was arrested on a cocaine charge.

According to reports, on May 6, authorities pulled 64-year-old Ike Turner Jr. over at a traffic light in Alvin, Texas.

The stop was (allegedly) due to one of the head/tail bulbs being out on Ike Turner Jr.’s 2013 Ford Fusion, and officials labeled it an “equipment violation.”

However, at the time, it appears that the musician had narcotics in his possession and made a failed effort to get rid of the substance before the cops could notice. Ultimately, Turner’s immoral actions (seemingly) prompted a “subsequent” search.

Documentation of the incident read:

“He tried to eat the drugs before the officers could seize them from him.”

Police then found that the defendant had 1.7 grams of crack cocaine and .7 grams of methamphetamine on him, and due to the discovery, they took him into custody.

Their report stated,

“A subsequent investigation led to the driver, [Ike Turner Jr.], being arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (crack cocaine) PG 1 F/3 and Tampering with Evidence F/3.”

Additionally, Turner’s female passenger was held accountable for possessing a controlled substance.

He’s still at the Brazoria County Jail on a $70,000 bail, according to reports.

Turner (legendary artist Ike Turner’s biological son) is the adopted child of the late ‘Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll,’ Tina Turner, who died on May 24 from natural causes.
