John Amos’ Son Kelly “K.C.” Amos Reportedly Arrested For Terroristic Threats Weeks After Being Removed As The Actor’s Medical Power Of Attorney

John Amos’s son Kelly “K.C.” Amos has reportedly been arrested!

While information on the arrest is limited at this time, it appears he was booked on Sunday, July 16. It’s unclear if he has been released or still remains in police custody. According to the police report, K.C. was charged with “terroristic threats–threaten imminent death–purp fear. ”

This news comes weeks after K.C. Amos was removed as the medical power of attorney for John Amos.

A representative for the actor’s daughter, Shannon Amos, shared that K.C. Amos has been,

“successfully removed as John’s medical power of attorney and no longer has the authority to make medical decisions for his father who is now recovering under the care of other family members.”

According to reports, Shannon also served a cease and desist to K.C. to demand,

“that he stop making false statements on public platforms which have caused defamation to her reputation and harm to her business.” 

Shannon expressed that removing K.C. was a necessary move.

“My priority has always been the safety, stability, and well-being of my father. Removing Mr. Kelly K.C. Amos as medical power of attorney is an important step in the healing of my father and family.”

The Amos family has been involved in a lot of drama lately! Shannon Amos recently made headlines after claiming her 83-year-old father had been a victim of elder abuse, which the actor later denied.

According to Shannon, John Amos had been hospitalized, allegedly following a near-death experience, and needed money after suffering from abuse and financial exploitation. She launched a GoFundMe to raise funds for her father’s expenses and shared during an Instagram live that part of the proceeds would go towards getting housing and legal representation for John Amos.

However, the “Good Times” actor soon released a statement against his daughter’s accusations and essentially expressed he was doing just fine and wasn’t sure why the GoFundMe was created on his behalf.

Making matters more complicated, John Amos alluded that Shannon was behind the elder abuse. In a video shared online by his son, K.C. Amos, John said:

“She would be the primary suspect — if you would. I don’t know if that’s the right term to use or not. But she’s the one that I would attribute my elderly abuse to. It’s definitely a case of elderly abuse.”

However, many fans felt John’s son K.C. was behind the ordeal and encouraged the entertainer to make that video against Shannon.

In her recent statement, Shannon briefly addressed her father’s claim of elder abuse.
