Reality TV Star Momma Dee Warns Bambi To Stay Away From Erica Mena Following Their Recent Arrest: ‘You Need To Reassess Who Your Friends Are‘
Reality TV personality Momma Dee shared some words of advice for Bambi after she was arrested following a night out with friends.
Momma Dee recently took to social media to react to the latest arrest of “Love & Hip Hop” cast members Erica Mena, Bambi, and Zell Swag. As you may already know, the reality stars were arrested and booked over the weekend after reportedly getting into a physical altercation with police officers at a nightclub in Atlanta.
As details of their arrest began to surface online, news broke that Erica Mena bit a police officer, seemingly prompting Momma Dee to address the incident. Momma Dee, real name Deborah Bryant, said,
“Girl, Erica, do not be getting Bambi in no trouble. Bambi you need to reassess who your friends are…You just gotta think. It ain’t worth it. Paying bond. And you know we already in Atlanta jail, Fulton County Jail. People coming up dead and stuff and it’s nasty in there. Girl, don’t nobody want to be caught behind enemy lines.”
The mother of rapper Scrappy continued and took up for her former daughter-in-law Bambi. Despite their personal issues, the 59-year-old noted she would never want to see Bambi behind bars. She explained,
“Please reassess who your friends [are]. Send Momma Dee to jail see how close I get to you. Never again. You ain’t gone cost my kids and me hardship and money. Honey, I don’t like you like that. No ma’am. And Bambi love her children. Okay? And Scrappy love his children. Okay? Don’t be getting Bambi locked up.”
She added,
“I don’t want her locked up and I mean it. I don’t want nothing to happen to her. My grandkids need their mother. My grandkids need their father. Stop playing.”

As previously reported, the incident went down around 11:40 p.m. this past Friday (Aug. 25) at the Lucca Lounge in Atlanta. According to reports, “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” stars Erica Mena, 35, Addie ‘Bambi’ Benson, 42, and “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” star Rodney ‘Zell Swag’ Shaw, 36, got into a fight with security after being repeatedly asked to leave the bar. The trio were then physically resistant to police officers attempting to de-escalate the situation, reports claim.
Rapper Saucy Santana, real name Rashad Spain, 29, was also out with the group, but left the venue before any arrests were made. Saucy Santana, who is currently dating fellow musical artist Zell Swag, addressed how things went south and stated,
“Last night my n***a was not fighting no girls, he had got into with the security or the authorities. He was with his homegirls I was out with him and his friends…Erica was very belligerent.”

So Zell was just being a man, and them his girls. He was trying to deescalate the situation. The people ended up start tussling with Zell, that’s how he ended up going to jail.”
Reportedly, Erica was charged with a felony for willful obstruction of law enforcement officers by use of threats or violence, two counts of simple battery, and one count of simple battery against an officer.
