The hip-hop icon chimed in his vote of support after the movie star recently spoke out about her ex’s infamous cheating scandal.

Nia Long has not been shy about the embarrassment she’s undergone since her ex-fiancée Ime Udoka’s affair was made public by his previous employer, the Boston Celtics. According to her, she found out about the ordeal just as the rest of the world was made aware, which gravely affected her and their shared preteen son Kez. The movie star has criticized the organization several times for being insensitive and unprofessional in handling the situation, which ended her 11-year relationship and put in her in the midst of an intense custody dispute.

In a recent Instagram post, Long suggested that the NBA team sheltered, however, their former coach’s mistress Kathleen Lynch because she’s a white woman. She reposted a video explaining how white women “weaponize” their emotions to avoid accountability. As a caption to this post, Long wrote:
“Where was this level of awareness a year ago @celtics ??? #kathleenlynch”

After the scandal broke, Udoka’s cheating partner’s identity was undisclosed for some time. Reports later revealed that the woman — Kathleen Lynch — is the Mormon wife of one of the organization’s executives and worked under Udoka. Very minimal details have since been released about Lynch‘s life. In addition, neither she nor her husband have been hounded in the media as Long has amid the debacle. Which, consequently, has prevented the actress from receiving any kind of public accountability or remorse for Lynch’s actions.

Long appears not to be alone in her feelings about white fragility and the lack of accountability. Rap star Snoop Dogg entered the comments section of her recent post and showed his support. He wrote:
“Accountability to my sis and nefews retribution is in order I stands with u @iamnialong I. got ya bac”

Many, including Long, thanked the “Gin and Juice” artist for being unafraid to stand with a Black woman on the issue. Others doubled down on the point of the video, offering their agreeing support for the actress as well.
