Jodie Turner-Smith’s Estranged Husband Joshua Jackson Spotted Out w/A Newly Single Lupita Nyong’o Amid Ongoing Divorce

Looks like Joshua Jackson isn’t letting his divorce stop him from having a good time.

According to reports, the estranged husband of actress/model Jodie Turner-Smith was recently picture’d having a night out on a town with a group of friends that included Lupita Nyong’o, who just so happened to recently confirm her breakup.

As we covered earlier this month, Jodie Turner-Smith, 37,  recently filed paperwork to split from her husband Joshua Jackson, 45, after 3 years of marriage. Following the separation, both entertainer’s seemed to keep a relatively low profile, though they have spoken publicly about their failed relationship. Now, it seems Joshua Jackson is ready to carry on with life as usual, as he recently attended a Janelle Monáe concert in Englewood, California.

In a series of photo’s, the Canadian actor is pictured standing side by side with fellow actor Lupita Nyong’o, 40, who posted about experiencing heart ache and a breakup earlier today (October 19th). The “Black Panther” star was in relationship with TV personality Selema Masekela earlier this year. Prior to wiping her page clean of any remembrance of the sports commentator, Masekela had made numerous appearances on the Oscar winner’s instagram page. With all traces of him gone and ending the post with the hashtag “breakup”, it seems the pair quietly called it quits. In a set of messages posted to her social feed, Nyong’o wrote:

“There are much more important things going on in the world right now, and my thoughts are with those who are deeply suffering. At this moment, it is necessary for me to share a personal truth and publicly dissociate myself from someone I can no longer trust…
I find myself in a season of heartbreak because of a love suddenly and devastatingly extinguished by deception.”

She continued:

“I am tempted to run into the shadows and hide, only to return to the light when I have regained my strength enough for me to say, ‘Whatever, my life is better this way.’ But I am reminded that the magnitude of the pain I am feeling is equal to the measure of my capacity for love. And so, I am choosing to face the pain, cultivating the courage to meet my life exactly as it is, and trusting that this too shall pass. The promise, they say, is that a tender heart is what gives birth to fearlessness. I hope it’s true… I share this to keep it ?, and hoping that the knowledge of my experience might be useful to someone else out there experiencing the grip of heartbreak who is poised to try and escape from the pain and miss out on the wisdom that comes from it.  #Breakup”

As far as Nyong’o and Jackson’s recent outing, however, sources familiar with the matter reportedly state it was purely platonic. Reportedly, the pair have been friends since at least 2018, and attended the concert with a group of 9 or 10 friends. The source reportedly added that there was nothing romantic happening between the two throughout the night, and denied any kind of PDA happened, despite them both being single and standing close to one another.

Neither Nyong’o, Jackson, nor Turner-Smith have seemed to speak publicly about the situation at this time.
