Reality star Angela Simmons has a hefty bill to deal with following a legal dispute.

According to reports, the 36-year-old is on the hook for nearly $50,000 in back rent payments after losing a court case from her ex landlord.

The report states that Angela Simmons was sued by an apartment leaser in Randolph, New Jersey for failing to uphold a contract. She reportedly began renting a penthouse there back in October 2019. In the suit, the landlord reportedly claimed the entrepreneur’s insufficient payments mounted as she was only giving partial rent payments throughout her year living there, which were often late, causing her to incur a significant amount in late fees and unpaid rent.

It seems seems Simmons never responded to the case in court, resulting in a default ruling from a court judge who ordered her to pay the leaser approximately $48,000 in “late fees, unpaid rent, repairs and other housing costs”. At this time it doesn’t seem that Simmons has reacted to the judgement publicly. It’s also noted in the report that her reps have opted not to comment on the matter at this time. However, one report suggests the socialite ramped up marketing for her vegan pancake mix brand since the ruling, potentially signaling a need for extra cash.

Despite her reported legal troubles it seems Simmons is continuing to live her life happily with boyfriend Yo Gotti. If you recall, the new couple went public with their relationship for the first time earlier this year, sharing PDA pics of them in complimentary New Years Eve fits.

The rapper, real name Mario Mims, 42, first professed his love for Rev. Run’s daughter back in 2016 in his hit single “Down In the DM”, and says since finally getting his dream girl that she’s it for him. The love birds are often seen posted on Simmon’s instagram page cuddled up and showering each other with affection. Just last month, the media personality shared some snaps of the two from her birthday trip to Turks & Caicos, captioning the images:
