Tyrese Responds To Ex-Wife’s Confession That She Would Consider Reconciliation – Says She Is ‘Clout Chasing’ And ‘Trying To Build Her YouTube Page’

Tyrese is not falling for the attention-seeking shenanigans of his ex-wife. 

Tyrese has always been very open and vocal about his feelings. And when it comes to the singer’s ex-wife Samantha Gibson, who’s also the mother of one of his children, mum has never been the word. As recently reported, Samantha confessed in an interview that she’d consider rekindling her relationship with the “Fast & Furious” actor if they were willing to “fight for it equally.” She also stated that she would’ve never divorced her husband if it weren’t for people in her ear.  Surprisingly to most, Tyrese did not respond favorably to what seemed to be Samantha’s heartfelt emotions regarding her ex. 

Tyrese took to his IG live to make it crystal clear that he believes the mother of his child is seeking attention to build up her YouTube page and grow her following. The “TGT” group member goes on to denounce any claims of Samantha having “people in her ear” during their marriage, which caused her to leave him, and states that the only person he believes was in her ear speaking negatively about their union was her mother.

Tyrese went on to say that Samantha’s recent epiphany is all about money and an effort to clout chase. As his legal fees continue to pile up, Tyrese expresses frustration that his ex continues to try to collect more money from him even though they had an air-tight prenup in place. The “Sweet Lady” performer challenges Samantha to drop the lawsuits and get the lawyers off his back if money is not her driving force. 

Tyrese also wanted it to be known that he is no different from other performers like Adele, Mary J. Blige, or Jazmine Sullivan, who express their heartbreak and emotions through song, and that his music in no way indicates his desire to be in a relationship with his ex-wife. The platinum artist also reiterates that he is in a relationship with influencer Zelie Timothy, and his focus is to continue to take care of his children and his current relationship. 

It’s important to note that the timing of the release of Samantha’s podcast interview could not have come at a worse time for Tyrese. He stated in the caption of his post that his sister, Shonta Gibson’s funeral is approaching (Oct. 24) and that his family is in a “dark place” right now. Tyrese unfortunately also lost his mother in February of 2022.

Hopefully, now that the songwriter has gotten his feelings off his chest, he can re-center, move past the triggering negativity, and find peace and comfort with his loved ones. Our condolences are with Tyrese and his family during this challenging time.
