Gunplay Arrested After Allegedly Violating Estranged Wife’s Restraining Order For The 8th Time
Rapper Gunplay is reportedly spending some time behind bars after violating a restraining order.
As previously reported, in August Vonshae Taylor-Morales – Gunplay’s estranged wife – was granted a temporary restraining order against the “Power Circle” artist. Gunplay was ordered to stay 500 feet away from his ex after allegedly pointing a rifle at her while she was holding their 6-month-old daughter. He was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment, and child abuse.
Unfortunately for the Miami native, his latest actions have sent him right back to jail. According to reports, Gunplay, real name Richard Morales Jr., was booked into police custody last night (Oct. 25) for violating the restraining order Vonshae has against him. Allegedly, the rapper’s ankle monitor notified authorities that he was heading somewhere he had no business being – straight to Vonshae’s home. At this time, it’s unclear why the “Love & Hip Hop” alum showed up at his ex’s residence, but he was reportedly arrested right outside of her house.
Authorities got there so quickly that he didn’t even have a chance to interact with Vonshae or their daughter, according to TMZ. Gunplay’s latest attempt at seeing the University of Miami graduate was reportedly his eighth time violating the restraining order. It seems like the rapper is all out of chances, as he will now have to stay in jail until his next court date on November 7.
