NBA star Tristan Thompson is taking accountability for his cheating scandal with Jordyn Woods.

During a recent episode of Hulu’s “The Kardashians,” the athlete showed remorse to his ex’s sister Kylie Jenner for the role his actions played in the demise of her friendship with Jordyn Woods.

If you recall, Tristan Thompson, 32, was infamously caught kissing Kylie Jenner’s longtime bestie Jordyn Woods, 26, at a party back in 2019. The headlining incident sparked a major frenzy online and ultimately ended with the socialites no longer being friends. Now, four years after the situation, it seems Thompson felt inspired to offer the Kylie Cosmetics founder a formal apology.

Speaking with Jenner, 36, he stated:

“I wanted to talk to you. I think it’s been long overdue…It really bothers me because we’ve always had such a dope relationship, and I feel like everyone got affected differently, you know? But I think you were affected the most by a situation with, ya know, losing a sister basically,”

He continued:

“You guys were two peas in a pod, so the fact that I put myself in that situation, that wasn’t right and wasn’t smart and made it tough for you and Khloé. Because at the end of the day, you have your best friends and then you have your sister who you love more than anything else, so it’s 100 percent on me.”

The NBA champion went on to share with the beauty mogul that he truly is sorry and “feels bad” about the whole thing, adding:

“The fact that I came with my poor decision and being a f–king idiot and just being young and stupid, I wanted to say I’m sorry again for that,” 

Jenner accepted the apology but suggested that distancing herself from Woods ended up being something they both needed. The entrepreneur admitted that at the time she was “dependent” on their friendship and that she couldn’t picture life without Woods, adding that they’d probably still be living together if things didn’t happen the way they did. Additionally, she stated that their separation allowed them both to grow in ways they might not have, which she also spoke about shortly after the incident happened.

It wasn’t until earlier this year that Woods and Jenner were spotted out for the first time together after the scandal. The internet went into an uproar after the two were photo’d leaving a dinner in Los Angeles, signaling to many they were attempting to reconcile their relationship. Later reports claimed that it has actually been a full year since they started communicating again.

Once Thompson was done apologizing, Jenner clarified that she and Woods are “cool” now and talk and catch up with one another. Woods, however, hasn’t spoken publicly about the nature of their relationship.
