Jamie Foxx Rep Denies Sexual Assault Accusations & Says They Plan To Countersue As The Case Has Already Been Tried & Dismissed In Court

Lawyers for Jamie Foxx are maintaining his innocence amid his recent sexual assault allegations.

According to reports, the entertainer is not only denying the alleged incident ever happened, but is reportedly planning to countersue the plaintiff.

Reports state that Jamie Foxx’s lawyer released a statement following news of the recently filed lawsuit claiming the incident “never happened”, and explained that the 55-year-old has already been to court over the matter. The statement reportedly read:

“The alleged incident never happened…In 2020, this individual filed a nearly identical lawsuit in Brooklyn.

They added:

“That case was dismissed shortly thereafter….The claims are no more viable today than they were then. We are confident they will be dismissed again.”

As we covered earlier this week, Jamie Foxx is among a list of celeb high profile celebs who have had sexual assault cases filed against them under the New York Adult Survivor’s Act recently. For his case, the actor – real name Eric Marlon Bishop – is accused of inappropriately groping a woman at a New York restaurant after she and a friend asked for a photo back in 2015. In the suit, she reportedly claims the Oscar winner slid his hand under her shirt and touched her breast before entering her pants and touching her vagina and anus.

The woman claims she underwent medical treatment for the attack, and says she’s suffered emotional distress, which is why she’s suing for “sexual assault, abuse, assault and battery.” The report also notes that Foxx’s camp shared their intentions to file a countersuit against the woman. They reportedly added in their statement:

“Mr. Foxx intends to pursue a claim for malicious prosecution against this person and her attorneys for re-filing this frivolous action.”

It has not been reported that a judge has ruled on the matter at this time.
