Ashanti Reportedly Pregnant, Expecting 1st Baby w/ Boyfriend Nelly

Sometimes letting your ex spin the block can lead to great things!

According to reports, Ashanti, 43, is pregnant for the first time, expecting a baby with boyfriend Nelly, 49. As previously reported, they first started dating in 2003 and broke things off a decade later in 2013. However, the couple rekindled their relationship earlier this year and have seemingly been inseparable ever since.

The love birds first sparked baby rumors over the weekend while attending the “Dilemma” rapper’s Black and White Ball in St. Louis. During the event, Ashanti put her hand on her stomach as she stood on stage with Nelly, who did the same.

Fans wasted no time rushing to the internet with baby speculations and it seems they were on to something. An insider close to the couple confirmed with a publication,

“Nelly and Ashanti are welcoming their first baby together.”

This will mark baby number three for Nelly, who already has two (adult) children — daughter Chanelle, 29, and son Cornell Haynes III, 24. Nelly also raised his niece Sydney aka Shank and his nephew Shawn aka Lil’ Shawn. As you may recall, the entertainer’s sister Jackie Donahue died from leukemia in 2005.
