Jonathan Majors’ Ex Claims He Told Her To Act Like Coretta Scott King Or Michelle Obama During Their Relationship & Would Threaten Suicide When He Became Upset
Jonathan Majors’ ex-girlfriend shared some shocking claims as she testified against the actor in New York City.
According to reports, the 34-year-old actor’s trial kicked off this week in a Manhattan courtroom for his misdemeanor assault case. As you may already know, Jonathan Majors was charged earlier this year for allegedly assaulting his then-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, 30, during an argument.
In her opening statement, Jonathan Majors’ defense attorney Priya Chaudhry claimed that Grace Jabbari is seeking revenge from the “Marvel” star by accusing him of domestic violence and harassment because he ended their two-year relationship.
After Majors’ attorney gave her statement, Assistant District Attorney Michael Perez followed with the claim that Majors “demanded total compliance” from his ex. Allegedly, he demanded she act like late civil rights activist Coretta Scott King or Former First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama by “making sacrifices for him.”
Today (Dec. 5) Grace Jabbari took the stand and played a recording on her iPhone of Majors shouting at her to behave like King or Obama.
On the recording, the “Creed III” actor reportedly stated,
“I’m a great man. A great man. I do great things for my culture and for the world. … The woman that supports me needs to be a great woman. Two nights ago, you did not do that. Which took away from the plan.”
During Jabbari’s testimony, she also recalled one incident from July 2022 when he (allegedly) began throwing things at her in the West Hollywood home they shared at the time. She showed the jury a photo of a room where she claimed Majors threw a candle into a wall.
In addition, the professional dancer testified that Majors would allegedly threaten suicide when he became upset with her. Jabbari recounted an incident that took place in September 2022 and said,
“He said that he was a monster and that he wants to kill himself and he has put actions in place to do so.”
She said she begged Majors not to go through with the act and in the instance would “make him feel safe and loved and secure.”
As previously reported, Majors was arrested on March 25 after getting into a domestic dispute with Jabbari. The former couple were riding in a Cadillac Escalade when Majors allegedly received flirty text messages from another woman. It’s alleged by the prosecution that the actor attacked Jabbari inside the vehicle after she grabbed his phone. Majors has since denied the allegations and claimed Jabbari is the one who became violent.
Following his arrest, Majors has been dropped from several acting projects, his management and PR Team, and more. He has pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor assault and harassment charges, reports state. If found guilty, Majors faces up to a year in jail.
