C-Murder Says ‘I Don’t Know Why Someone Feels The Need To Publicly Bash A Person That’s Fighting For Their Life’ While Seemingly Responding To Ex-Girlfriend Monica’s Claim That He Broke Her Heart
Jailed rapper C-Murder made it clear that if his name is making headlines, he wants it to be about his fight for freedom.
The musician seemingly responded to his former girlfriend Monica after she recently shared that she’s moved on from their relationship.

C-Murder, real name Corey Miller, 52, wrote in a social media post:
“I don’t know why someone feels the need to publicly bash a person that’s fighting for their life?? I am a black male fighting and hoping for freedom one day. Wanna speak on something?? Let’s talk about freeing us Louisiana inmates still held illegally and unconstitutionally by a racist Jim Crow law through a non-retroactive 10/2 non unanimous jury. Facts.”

He added:
“I am asking all celebrities against RACISM to visit this website: www.louisianabusinessesagainstracistlaws.com and retweet to help relieve modern day slavery and to sign our petition for freedom. Thanks.”

The New Orleans native’s post comes on the heels of Monica, 43, revealing the two are no longer in a relationship. After a picture of the “So Gone” songstress flirtatiously standing beside a new man recently circulated online, fans hopped in the comment section questioning what happened to her romance with C-Murder. Back in April of 2022, the pair were seen posing for a loving picture while she visited him behind bars, leading many to believe they rekindled their romance following Monica’s divorce from basketball player Shannon Brown.

However, it seems the re-sparked relationship was short-lived. In response to fans asking what went down between the two, Monica wrote in a post:
“Well, here it is in short! I got my heartbroken (again) and that’s ok! I learned yet another valuable lesson! I went through it, got over it, now I can laugh about it! Life continues! I feel great that through it he has representation to one day be free! Let’s move forward!”

C-Murder is currently serving a life sentence for the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old back in 2002. He has maintained his innocence and has received support from a host of celebrities including Master P and Kim Kardashian who have advocated for his release. Especially after two of the key witnesses recanted their statements, claiming that police pressured them to name the rapper as the shooter. Even with that being the case, however, just last month C-Murder’s wrongful conviction appeal was denied, leaving him locked up for the time being.

It doesn’t appear that Monica has responded any further at this time.
