Double congrats are in order for LightSkinKeisha!
The singer and Power Book II: Ghost actress is officially settling into motherhood after she and Coca Vango welcomed their first child, son Amin, on Jan. 14 at 12:08 p.m. The adorable newborn weighed 7 lbs., 8 oz.
Swooning over her bundle, LightSkinKeisha said,
“We are incredibly obsessed with our son; he’s everything we prayed for.”
She opened up about her experience being pregnant and said it,
“went smoothly, thanks to my husband’s support for an easy, stress-free experience. It went by quickly, and now he’s here, live and direct.”
LightSkinKeisha added of Amin’s “crazy” arrival:
“Words can’t describe it, but seeing him and doing skin-to-skin made me think I could do it again, maybe two more times. He’s so cute, and we’re just so in love with him.”
She also revealed that she and Coca Vango, who proposed in 2022 and is dad to an 8-year-daughter from a previous relationship, decided to become husband and wife before expanding their family.
“After six years together, we’ve built not only a friendship and a solid relationship but also our little family. We’re soulmates, so marrying my best friend felt right.”
Coco Vango also chimed in and spoke on the significance of their son’s name. The pair was first told they were having a girl before the truth was unveiled at a sex reveal party.
“It’s like God’s continuing the legacy; my dad’s name was Amin, mine is too, and now Baby 3 is the 3rd. Feeling happy and blessed he’s here.”
Though life is “hectic” for the pair as they balance life between Los Angeles and Atlanta, Coco Vango gushed,
“I don’t want to go anywhere without Kiesha, so finding balance is crucial. Settling down sometimes feels slow, but seeing my wife make our space home for me and our newborn son makes it all worth it.”
LightSkinKeisha first revealed she was pregnant on her birthday in September. She shared intimate Instagram photos of Coco Vango holding her then growing baby bump and wrote,
“Thank you God for another year of life, and to the new life growing within me! Happy Birthday to me ??????”
