Dwight Howard Drops Invasion Of Privacy Lawsuit Against Masin Elije, Male Who Claimed He Was Threatened & Harassed To Stay Quiet About Their Alleged Relationship

Dwight Howard is no longer suing a man, 28-year-old Masin Elije, for invasion of privacy after Elije claimed he was threatened and harassed to not go public with his alleged affair with the former NBA star.

Elije sued Dwight Howard in 2019, accusing him of “assault” and  “intentional infliction of emotional distress.” He alleged that Dwight Howard hired goons to scare him into signing a nondisclosure agreement (NDA) that would force him to stay quiet about their alleged relationship. He alleged that Kitty, a man who often dresses as a female, threatened him after he went public with his and Howard’s alleged romance in 2018. (In 2019, Howard denied having even met Elije and maintained that he was not gay.)

Elije’s complaint was dismissed last year. However, Dwight Howard later sued him for invasion of privacy, libel, and slander, which he has now dropped. Elije’s attorneys Olga Izmaylova and Sadeer Sabbak said in a statement,

“Yes, Mr. Howard’s attorneys filed a dismissal with the court, so that case is now closed. I don’t want to speculate on what Mr. Howard is thinking but I will say that his claims in the [Elije] matter and his defenses in the Harper matter are inconsistent with one another.”

Though those legal issues appear to be wrapped up, Howard is still entangled in court issues after another man, Stephen Harper, sued the pro-baller for assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and false imprisonment following a threesome in July 2021 with a man dressed as a woman named “Kitty.”

Harper also claimed in his lawsuit that Kitty told him, “Someone will put a bullet in his head,” if he told anyone about him and Howard.

Howard has since confessed to having sex with Harper, who met Howard after DMing the former NBA player on Instagram, but said it was consensual and,  “nothing more than a classic case of unrequited love” stemming from Howard‘s decision to call things off with Harper. Gwinnett County Chief Judge Carla E. Brown denied Howard‘s attempt to get this case dismissed last month, noting that Harper provided an “affidavit and other evidence raising triable issues of material fact.”
