Some of Megan Thee Stallion’s naysayers are starting to sing a different tune.

As previously reported, Kelsey Nicole’s highly-anticipated podcast interview with “The Danza Project” was released over the weekend. The teaser from the segment alluded that the former best friend of Megan Thee Stallion would share for the first time her version of what occurred the night the rapper was shot. However, once the full interview was published, people quickly learned nothing new was brought to the forefront, other than Kelsey Nicole confirming that she and Megan Thee Stallion didn’t fall out because they both allegedly were romantically involved with Tory Lanez at some point.

Controversial media personality DJ Akademiks recently weighed in on what Kelsey Nicole had to say and questioned why she seems okay with Tory Lanez’s camp wanting her to take the fall for what went down on July 12, 2020. As you may recall, the jailed entertainer’s team has been pushing the narrative that he isn’t responsible for pulling the trigger, alluding to Kelsey being the gunwoman. During the trial, she even issued her Fifth Amendment right when asked if she witnessed the “Say It” artist shoot Megan Thee Stallion in the foot. However, it’s important to note that on the night of the incident, Kelsey reportedly texted Megan’s security guard “Help. Tory shot Meg. 911.”

During his livestream, DJ Akademiks said,

“The weirdest thing about this whole thing with Kelsey, bruh, Kelsey, it ain’t like we making this sh*t up. Tory’s team is kind of throwing that out there. They’re like ‘You did it, n*gg*.’ Now, he didn’t say that, but his team is kind of saying ‘Yo, ya’ll got the wrong person locked up. The real person who did it, she over there.’”

He continued, seemingly echoing similar sentiments from Megan that Kelsey was paid off not to say what happened.

“She seems to have no problem with that. That’s the weirdest part about it [and] that’s why everybody thinks you got paid off. ‘Cause the only reason why you wouldn’t have a problem with one group of people pointing the finger at you if is maybe you and them had an agreement.”

In December, Megan said her former assistant wouldn’t tell the truth because she either “took some money” or her “life is in danger.” While on Instagram Live, she said,

“Kelsey didn’t motherf*cking shoot me…her main problem with me was ‘You won’t tell people I didn’t shoot you.’ I was like, ‘Kelsey I don’t want to talk about this on social media at all,’ but now you won’t even get online and defend yourself. So that really just proves my point that either you took some money or you’re life is in danger!”
