Kimora Lee Simmons Seemingly Shades Usher Visiting Russell Simmons In Bali Amid Sexual Assault Allegations: ‘Y’all Some Wild Boys’

Update (March 7): Kimora Lee Simmons is weighing in on Usher’s visit to Russell Simmons. 

On Wednesday night, the model took to her Instagram Story to throw shade, writing,

“What is this I’m [seeing] in the news today?? Lol. Ya’ll some wild boys frfr”

She then made it clear who she was talking about by adding,

“Not “by my bed!!!” Lolol”

” 

Kimora Lee Simmons was referencing Russell Simmon’s Instagram post about Usher visiting him during one of the worst times of his life.

Russell Simmons wrote of Usher’s gesture,

“When i was at the lowest point in my life i had an operation when i woke up this man was sitting by my bed ..”

He continued,

” i had known usher since he was a kid but we really bonded because of our mutual love for self discovery and our belief in Yogic science as a direct route to realizing Gods conciousness in ourselves …”

He ended with,

“People remember to remember this ..a friend walks in when others walk out … i will never forget the generosity of spirit i witnessed in this man God bless you baby bro @usher [praying hands Emoji] love you !!!!”

Original Story (March 5): R&B superstar Usher’s recent trip to Bali is being condemned online.

Social media users have been sharing their disappointment that the singer is associating himself with Russell Simmons, seeing as the entrepreneur still has not answered to several allegations of abuse.

As we recently covered, Russell Simmons expressed his appreciation for his “baby bro” Usher yesterday (February 4th), uploading a series of pictures of the two connecting on the Indonesian island. The Def Jams co-founder gushed about their relationship and praised the Super Bowl Halftime performer for being at his side even during low points in his life.

While the union seemed innocent enough, social media users were not at all amused. Many called out Usher for seemingly ignoring the fact that Simmons appears to be in Bali so he doesn’t have to answer to abuse accusations he’s facing in the states. If you recall, the 66-year-old was sued back in February of this year by a former Def Jam exec who says Simmons sexually assaulted her back in the 90’s.

Over the past decade, Simmons has faced several other allegations of sexual assault and abuse. He’s continued to deny any wrongdoing but also seems to be waiting the situation out by remaining in Bali. Despite not facing the charges personally in court, social media users have not forgotten about the allegations. Several slammed Usher for spending time with the music mogul as it seems he’s being “complicit” to his alleged abuse.

It does not appear that Simmons nor Usher have responded to the backlash at the time of this writing.
