Odell Beckham Jr. Released From The Baltimore Ravens After 1 Season, Reportedly Hoping To Sign w/ Kansas City Chiefs
Odell Beckham Jr. is saying goodbye to the Baltimore Ravens after one season and reportedly wants to head to Kansas City, Missouri.
According to ESPN’s Field Yates, on Wednesday (Mar. 13), NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. received his walking papers from the famed team.

Reportedly, Odell Beckham Jr. was released with a post-June 1 designation, spreading the “dead money” over two years.
However, the 31-year-old’s sudden cut from the Ravens wasn’t unforeseen. In January, Beckham Jr. reworked his one-year deal to allow for the move after signing a $15 million agreement with the team last April.
Over the Cap, which provides NFLers salary details, cited that void years kept the wide receiver’s 2023 salary cap under $5 million. The restructuring of his contract was done to remove them and make way for the June designation.

After tearing his ACL in the Super Bowl LVI with the Los Angeles Rams in 2022, the veteran athlete appeared in 14 games for the Ravens, catching 35 passes for 565 yards and 3 touchdowns in the season.
Sources claim that Beckham Jr. is ready to return bigger and better with the Kansas City Chiefs, if possible. They told Daily Mail,
“Odell will sign with someone in the next few days.”
Adding:
“Odell wants a huge contract that has tons of money behind it and years attached to it because this is his last chance to get a good contract and also likely his last contract in the NFL.”
They furthered,
“He wants to join Kansas City but taking the best contract with the most money is Odell’s current thought process. Everyone wants to win, but money wins overall.”

Allegedly, Beckham Jr. is having difficulty aligning with a team that best caters to his needs. It’s also said that many are “apprehensive” to bring the Louisiana native on because he’s “injury-prone” and a bit older and higher-priced.
Hopefully, the free agent will be able to find a new playing home soon. In the meantime, he’s been reportedly spending a lot of time with his rumored new boo, Kim Kardashian. The two fueled relationship rumors after showing PDA during an Oscars after-party.
