Original Story: (Mar. 19, 2024): Jonathan Majors is facing another lawsuit from his former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.
The Creed III star, 34, was convicted of assault and harassment in December, stemming from an explosive incident the now-exes had in a car in New York City last March. He is scheduled to be sentenced on April 8.
In the meantime, Grace Jabbari, 31, is now suing Jonathan Majors again. This time it’s a civil lawsuit for defamation, battery, assault, malicious prosecution, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
In court documents filed in a New York federal court on Tuesday, March 19, Grace Jabbari points to Jonathan Majors’ consistent denial that he ever abused her before and after he was found guilty. (In his first interview after his conviction, he told ABC News anchor Linsey Davis in January that he was “shocked” about the verdict, adding that her version of events “did not happen.”)
Grace Jabbari had accused Majors of hitting her in the head with an open hand and forcing her arm behind her back. He allegedly fractured her middle finger by squeezing it, causing her to go to the hospital with injuries. He has consistently denied being physically abusive, and his lawyers claim that instead, he was the victim and suffered scratches.
Jabbari said in the new court documents that Majors had a
“pattern of pervasive domestic abuse that began in 2021 and extended through 2023.”
She also shared details about alleged incidents of Majors’ abuse against her. She added that he has now allegedly resulted in speaking negatively and making false statements about her in public. The docs state,
“Now that Majors can no longer physically abuse Grace, he has resorted to very publicly abusing her reputation. Following his arrest, Majors immediately implemented an extensive media campaign smearing Grace, claiming that he was ‘completely innocent,’ ‘is provably the victim,’ that he ‘did not assault her whatsoever,’ and that “’his woman was having an emotional crisis, for which she was taken to a hospital.'”
Majors has since started dating Meagan Good, 42. The two have been spotted multiple times together as he awaits sentencing. Earlier this month, Majors swooned over the Harlem actress, while they walked the red carpet at the African-American Film Critics Association (AAFCA) Special Achievement Awards Luncheon.
An ExtraTV reporter asked the smiling couple how they were doing, to which Jonathan Majors quickly responded,
“In love.”
The actor continued,
“That was my answer, yeah yeah we’re doing great.”
Meagan Good also chimed in and said,
“We’re doing great. God is good.”
