Actress Bresha Webb Welcomes Baby Girl & Reveals Child’s Name: ‘When We Were Scared, You Were Brave, Living Up To Your Name’

Bresha Webb is a mom!

The Run the World actress and her husband, Nick Jones Jr., welcomed their first child together.

Bresha Webb and Nick Jones Jr. announced that they welcomed a baby girl on Thursday (March 21). In a joint Instagram post shared Monday (March 25), the couple noted that even though her “pregnancy got hard,” her daughter helped her and her husband along the way, writing,

“You courageously grabbed us by your hearts and led us to your birth.”

Bresha Webb and Nick Jones Jr. added,

“When we were scared, you were brave, living up to your name. Welcome home Brave. 3-21-24”

The 39-year-old actress announced that she and her husband, Nick Jones Jr., were expecting their first child together in November 2023 as part of a partnership with pregnancy testing company Clearblue. 

In a post on Instagram, Webb wrote, 

“Surprise! Surprise! We’re pregnant!!! I’m so excited to announce we have a bun in the oven! Baby Jones coming April 2024! My husband, Nick, and I have a lot to be thankful for this holiday season.”

Webb’s TV writer husband also has a child from his previous relationship.

Webb and Nick Jones Jr. met through a mutual friend, comedian and TV host Loni Love, who played matchmaker when they were both looking for love. 

During an interview with Essence in July 2021, Webb shared that she and Jones Jr. “were both searching for the same thing.”

She explained that they wanted,

“Real love and connection. We had the same morals and beliefs and understood each other’s needs for one another. I’m still learning and growing. Love happened very quickly. By the time I came out of Canadian quarantine, I was in a whole relationship. I was floating. We dated on Facetime the entire time I was in Canada and when we finally met in person it was OVA! We were together-together!”

Jones Jr. expressed he felt the same way. He said,

“I love our chemistry. It’s so easy to just be in her space and love on her. We really are best friends. We confide in one another. We support one another, fully. I got her back no matter what.”

The pair got engaged in the summer of 2021 and tied the knot in February 2023.
